Probably going to get blasted for this but Cahill didn’t really do much apart from knock in vital goals and be a serial pest. Gylfi has actual deadball ability to go with the 3 lungs and goal scoring ability
Dude, you cant say he didnt do much..then follow that with except knock in vital goals lollollol
Cahill was sublime in the air, had passion, got us, and yeah scored a bunch...loved him me....i wish we had another.

think his point is that when he didnt score he didnt offer much on the pitch, for an attacking midfielder he wasnt particuarly creative

Ah right...i can see that like, I mean he wasnt an Arteta type granted..but what i liked about him was his drive to succeed without having the silky skills. He would leave everything on the field...i wish we still had one of them now.

yeah him and ossie to be honest, think we miss players like that who got everton

always admired both for the fact they never went hiding even when they werent playing well

I think he looked sharper on Saturday but still not up to speed.

It seemed him and Gana got caught ahead of the ball a lot, which is annoying in Gana's case as he should be the one sitting back and sweeping up, not the non-entity (in that role) that is Schneiderlin.

Hopefully Gylfi will show up from the start of the season this time, and not get into form after months and then instantly get injured

At the end of the day he's never going to be a £45m player. I mean, he technically is because that's what we paid, but you know what I mean.

He clearly has quality though and hopefully with a big centre back coming in and the likes of Tosun, we can play to his set piece strengths more. Additionally the runs Richarlison and Walcott will make should give him something to aim for in open play.
