Put it this way, if Sigurdsson continued his hit and miss (a lot of miss lately) form till the end of the season, and we were to sell him on in the Summer, then he would go down as a £45m flop after 2 seasons with us.
If he keeps up his current pace he’s going to be one of if not the highest scoring midfielders in the league. Most wouldn’t see that as a flop.

What is the actual stat that you posted? There is no explanation of what it is in that screenshot. Chances created?
Creativity, specifically from open play, has been a regular issue for Everton over a number of seasons. In the last three, Ross Barkley remains the club's most creative player, despite not playing a single game in two of those three seasons.

He’s a player that I don’t quite understand,he has very good technical ability gets his fair share of goals..often exceptional goals, but we just don’t have any sort of fluid attack with Gylfi in ,he should thrive with the likes of Bernard and Richarlison but it’s not working we often go large periods in games where our attack just fizzles to nothing

Totally agree, but I refuse to believe that Idrissa Gueye has created 49 chances in 84 games played as that table you posted suggests lol.

We need a better number 10 long term, no doubt, but my point in this thread over the past couple of days is that Sigurdsson (who may end up with 15+ goals this season) has hardly been the biggest problem for us this season.

A luxury player at best. Yes he scores goals and has all these nice numbers and statistics going for him but fact is his inclusion week in week out is hindering our team. You need 11 players that play well as a cohesive unit - not a smattering of individuals that don't play well as a unit. After all it is a team game - not a game of 11 technically decent individuals. Remember Asprilla at Newcastle back in the day? Yes he was a very good player, but his inclusion made the team suffer.

Sigurdsson got all these impressive numbers at Swansea because the team was built around him - he was the only player they really relied on for goals and assists, and they were built to his strengths. He played in a completely different system where he was the main man, and now he's getting exposed somewhat where he now has to act as part of a system, instead of being the system. And as we've seen many times throughout PL history, building your team around 1 player is rarely a good idea if you want to be successful.

He needs replacing for sure, but problem is his only replacement is Davies who quite simply won't cut it at this level. Badly need a good technically decent midfielder in who has the skillset to play in a 4-3-3, which Sig doesn't.

who replaces him? We have 5 attacking midfielders: Sig, Lookman, Bernard, Richarlison, Walcott. Only Lookman and Bernard look half way decent. At least Sig does get the odd goal. Walcott and Richarlison are not at the races.
My initial thought from what we have is Bernard. Put Richarlison back on the wing and Calvert Lewin up top. We have to change something. Obviously what we are doing is pathetic. Couple more bad results and the pressure starts to mount.
