The rest of the league will absolutely hate us if we drive up transfer fees by paying £50 million for him.
But I think I can live with it.

I do think that we have changed our strategy in that regard from last summers farce by targeting players we know we can get.Sure £50m would buy probably better players, but would they want to play here?
I have openly stated I really like siguardsson, but I'm sorry he is not worth 50m. For that amount I'm expecting a world class player, but as you said would they come to us.Sure £50m would buy probably better players, but would they want to play here?

I really think you will see some departures away from the club in the near future:
Niasse, McCarthy, Miralles, Robles and Mori could well be surplus to requirements and claw back some of the money we have spent.
Rom + RooneyRom price = £100m. They paid £75m.
Sig price = £50m. We pay £37.5m.
Fair?
35m + Niasse ?Deal or no deal Swansea?
They are not in the position to reject our big offer I am afraid. If Koeman and Walsh want him they will sign him although we will overpay.
Imagine if we pay £50m for the Sig.
Ell Bretland's head would pop.
Even @Connor would struggle but I think he'd make it through.
davek would find a way to say it wasn't Moshiri's money. And I reckon @MorgsGoat would probably be alright with it.
God help us all.
