That is yet to be proven. Spurs do have interest, but not at £50m. Ditto Newcastle. West Ham. Possibly Arsenal. We've set a ridiculous price so teams are waiting us out. You'll see us/Leicester downplay Sigurdsson for a while after today's Swans' briefing. I'd expect we'll focus on signing a striker & let them sweat for a bit.

The point was Barkley disappears from games "99% of the time". So by that argument, the 1% was influencial in getting in 7th.

50 million is a joke. If we were gonna go after him then we didn't need Klaasen. Now we have Rooney in the mix. If we are to accomodate Klaasen, Rooney and Sigu then our attack lacks serious pace. Don't forget we still have Barkley and two really good wingers in Bolasie and Mirallas with the latter capable of leading the line as well.

Klaassen is NOT a 10. He has played there and can play there but he's happiest and best as a Tom Davies style box-box goalscoring 8, which is just as well as Tom will be playing RB until Seamus is back if the whispers are true. Sigurdsson/Rooney could be trying to occupy the same space though.

True. But it's more about Barkley than about Sigurdsson. For a guy who apparently goes missing all the time, still managed to get us in a good league position.

Yet Sigurdsson is worth £50mill for taking freekicks.
