Its also interesting how much more useful he is when you have players actually picking up free kicks. That was as many free kicks as we have had all season, and we nearly scored on about 3 of them. Players like Walcott will do wonders for him because they will pick up free kicks in dangerous areas.

Think he's quality personally. He's been very much up and down since he joined this mish-mash of a squad very late in the summer but his quality has always been there. Provided he's played correctly (and Allardyce starts picking better teams in general) he'll be an important player for us.

NEA about the fee anymore, we should just move past it tbh.

They had Roma right off with the Salah move. But then I suppose you are more likely to find better value abroad if you do your scouting correctly. You've got Leicester eyeing up the younger Hazard at the moment, we should be all over that. If we spend another summer identifying and over paying for Premier League players I'm going to combust.

Why should we move past it? It's the prime example of how poor our recruitment and spending has been. A fee like that should get you a top end Premier League player, he is bang average and always has been. Personally I think we should have laughed Swansea out of town as soon as the asking price went above £25m.

I deleted that because I actually think Mane and Salah cost more in the end. However the fact it's even close is a travesty.

We’ve been linked with Thorgan a handful of times over the last year or so. Wouldn’t mind it.
