His game really does rely on having others around him to link up with and play off. That just doesn't happen in this team. Niasse, Rooney, Davies and Gueye were woeful in possession today, not to mention the full backs who give us absolutely not outlet.

Right now I do give Sigurdsson the benefit of the doubt in this team.

Maybe if we didn’t play him on the left? He doesn’t look suited for that at all and he hasn’t got the pace to track back and defend. Play him in his natural postion through the middle.
