For me we need to be trying to pin him down in the number 10 role. There's no point trying to get him to do anything else, his showings for Iceland have proved that he needs to be that talisman behind the striker.

Also don't try to cram him, Rooney and Klaassen in all at the same time.

Years we've waited fornsquad depth - now we have it, we're trying to cram every player in at once instead of sensible player usage. I feel that's the managers downfall - he's playing all the players he thinks he should be playing regardless of the town of the players who are afually playing well.

Us, Koeman, Siggurdson, Klaassen, Gana and Schneiderlin are all suffering from this.

Sigurdsson can't carry the ball, beat a man or run the show and pull the strings like Barkley.

But then Barkley's decision making isn't as good as Sigurdsson's nor is his movement, ability to play clever little passes or dead ball proficiency.

Sure, but all in all I think Siggy is a far superior player. And i do not agree on Ross running the show and pulling the strings. I feel like thats what we all hoped he would do when he burst on the scene, but he never did. He mostly just ran, head down into oponents, sometimes beating them, but mostly just loosing the ball and putting us under pressure.

You're being a bit harsh mate. You are neglecting his wonderful turning in circles while the opposition have a breather.
