Happy Final Pay Day;

I've been going mad about this for months/years on twitter @Eggs

I'd say we've lost about £25 million at least on him. He should never ever have been signed

I also can't believe some of our fans. I literally saw people say "pay the £10 million" (to Spurs) plus give him a new contact etc on twitter

After the interview he did.

People in our fanbase make decisions on emotion (involving tens of millions of pounds). Kenwright played on this overly emotional view and sentimentality our fans have

I do think some in the fanbase have little grasp that the club isn't a charity it's a business and needs to make business decisions

He was signed purely to boost egomaniac Bill Kenwright's profile in my view. See tweet 👇 Kenwright signing players was cited as a reason to keep Kenwright at the club by club-propaganda

I for one am glad to see the back of those days. Once and for all. Our club needs running like any business should. As a business.

Still furious at how much money we have wasted. It's all of our money. Wasted. Again. By Kenwright

….I opened a thread some time ago about ‘wasted millions’ under Moshiri and started it with Dele. His signing is symptomatic of how EFC business has been run.

Folk point out the young man’s personal problems and sadly footballers with all their wealth and fame are not immune to such illness, but it was an awful piece of business and I have no qualms in pointing that out. I wish the lad a healthy life but Spurs did us a right one.

Good luck to the lad, but a terrible deal for the club - one of Bill Ks 'bargain' false economies, possibly with Uzzy/Moshs desire to have big names - I hope we can manage risk / reward a bit better moving forwards.

Hopefully with pthe arts of the contract that required playing time - we haven't come out of it so badly.

It's not like he wasn't struggling when we signed him.
Makes you wonder how much Tottenham knew about the seriousness of his mental health issues.😕

Half pay at three months, zero pay after six months, at employers discretion and can be appealed. - no one ever wins.
Maybe depends on areas?, just had my mate who was a Social Worker. Retired about 6 years back, she had a mental breakdown few years back and she got full pay for 6 months then 3/4 up to 9 months.】

Dele Alli (by implication) being signed was used to try and laud Bill Kenwright and the job he was doing in the "letter from Farhad Moshiri" 21 January 2022 which was clearly written by people within EFC in the EFC communications team

It is absolutely disgraceful what has gone on and the money that has been wasted due to downright incompetence. Bill Kenwright and Co. using club media channels for propaganda too

That has to stop and @Eggs, Dele Alli is a symbol of the catastrophic running of the club by Bill Kenwright and Co.

Fans who put money into Everton Football Club are paying it

Why it is important

Why the club has been ran like a circus. People act like Everton is a charity when it's a business

Over £5.2 million a year for a player who did not play. People wonder why we have had relegation battles?

When you waste resources like that you will struggle because resource is not contributing to performance of the business

Bill Kenwright and Co. deserve castigating for this wastage of our money
You aren’t forced to put your money into it. It’s not taxes.

As you said, it’s a business. And it’s Moshiris business and his money ultimately that pays the wages.

So you have started several threads aimed at Dele in particular despite the club wasting money on all sorts of players. Strange.

There`s a big difference in someone on an average wage being out of work due to any sort of health related problems and the likes of Dele. When your taking home 500/600 quid a week after tax and might have sick pay for a couple of months to just keep the bills being paid, its hard to feel sympathy for the guy on 100k a week.
Don’t disagree with any of what you wrote. Just think it’s bizarre that some people think Dele should have taken a wage cut when we never expect any other injured players to do so.

I bare no ill towards Dele, the lad obviously has serious mental issues. However his recruitment is typical of the scattergun approach to transfers under the Moshiri regime.
