Has Moyes lost the Plot ?

Noone will like this, but we should drop Howard for a few games, and work on his reactions.
Yet again, he was nowhere near saving any of those goals, and all were within saving reach with a better reaction.

Yes, the team is injury stricken, but it doesn't help by having an ornament in goal.

23 goals conceded in 16 matches isn't good enough.

I couldn't agree more. I've been saying this for ages now. I just don't feel confident with him in goal. We always look likely to concede from corners or free kicks. Most of the goals we score he is no where near, or rooted to the spot!

I have no problem at all with getting another keeper to keep him on his toes, maybe help him raise his game a little, but as you say, as far as keepers go hes a good un, if it aint broke dont fix it.

Ive seen nothing in any performance from Howard this season that suggests he would benefit or indeed needs "a rest". And thats despite shipping 6 and 5.

Agreed.

I think Moyes will look at young goalies next summer, with everyone fit we have decent cover everywhere else on the park.

I like Howard though, he's an above average premier league goalie, but he does have a habit of being unable to get off the ground well enough at times. Also sometimes if something takes him by surprise, he just jumps straight up in the air, like a cat, getting nowhere near the ball in the process (i.e. Stoke last year, Wolves this year).

I really like Tim, but have to admit my favourite saying is "did you see Howard flapping at that???"

I suppose he doesn't make many school boy mistakes when compare to other goalies in the Prem...

Anyone???

Drop Howard... What a load of Tosh!!!

Were struggling at the back as it is, with the injuries and youngsters playing. As if Carlo Nash in goal is gonna help (No disrespect to him but he's nowhere near Howard's ability or premiership standard)

Well Howard was at fault partly for Boltons first goal, his postioning was too far to the right of the goal.

But dropping him is not an option now at all. There's a reason we have conceded so many goals lately and thats not because Howard is crap.

I think hes getting at the fact that we are finding it hard to play against to deep banks of four, like Fulham, Stoke, Wolves and Bolton - I think heslooking at making us difficult to beat again with those comments - mmaybe at the detrement of style at least till there is a bit of creation back in the team - to be honest i thought we played some god stuff at times yesterday - we are clearly lacking in confidence though.

*Not a Howard fan!

Can't really see where the criticising of Howard is coming from. Replace him, please tell me with who? Howard is still one of the top 5-6 goalkeepers in the PL for me. Think we would find it very hard to replace him with someone better.
