Heitinga hints at Everton exit

It's all sounding a bit RAWK....can't we just pat him on the back, wish him well and show our appreciation when he returns with West Ham.....never did anything particularly wrong. Simply, he's a footballer and they move clubs....he has no loyalty because it's just a job.
I'm more interested in who we replace him with.

rightly booed for making a substitution, or he rightly made a defensive substitution.?

Sorry, he was rightly booed for his negative sub. It was one of the most ****house piece of managing I have ever seen. I remember his 'I told you so' interview afterwards as if he had brought Heitinga on to score the winner and not defend for the replay

Cracking post mate.

Oh and tbh, heitinga holds one of my most memorable moments ever when barging into Ashley Cole on route to taking his penalty which he incedentaly then missed!

Good luck to the guy.

Bit mad that we're letting him go with Jagielka injured and the only other CB coverage being Escape from Alcaraz who hasn't played football for 6 months but I suppose that shows how out of favour he is

Player of the year followed by a fall from grace, good luck to the lad going forward and on with his career though like

Could also say we've got Jags.distin, stones whove had gametime.......and alcaraz and heitinga have had the same amount of games haha

Good for him to leave to be honest -- also jelavic I hope doesn't get injured before hes sold.

Stones is a CB

Never appeared to want to be one of us, genuinely.

You can tell Gareth Barry wants to be here, whereas Heitinga was just a mercenary who was good at playing twitter.

I disagree Grouch. Looked a good commited player for us at one point. Got messed about big time IMO. That doesn't excuse his shiithouse behaviour the last few seasons though.

Jags - out for one month
Distin - carrying a knock
Alcatraz - limited game time in a long while after coming back from a few injuries
Stones - happy to see him get game time
Barry - not a centre back
Duffy - on loan
Hibbert - not a centre back

Could all play Cb if requires, no problem.

Not arsed like, just think it's a bit odd given that we're "secure" for money and he's an international-class CB who can pass a bit but he has been plop of late so it is what it is

Not odd at all imo... No point keeping any player whose heart isn't in it.
He clearly needs a new challenge - A move to London must look pretty appealing for him.

The window is open, and West Ham boss Sam Allardyce confirms before kick-off that the club are hopeful of finalising a deal to sign Everton defender Johnny Heitinga in the next 24 hours.

He said: "We've had the ok from Everton and we're talking to his agent so hopefully that will happen in the next day or so."

A good signing Hammers fans? Maybe he can play up top?

Disappointing to release him solely to release wages.

We've managed his situation terribly - should have been sold a while back.
