Heitinga hints at Everton exit

This is probably a good thing, he seems pretty content with life here even though he's not getting many games. If it wasn't a World Cup season I could see him staying for the rest of the season and then leaving on a free. We've got fine cover so even if we only got a million or two for him that's a million or two more than what we would have got if he walks for nothing, we would also save quite a bit on wages.

Should have had the discipline to keep himself in good mental and physical shape after Moyes stitched him last season, then he would have bounced back and be competing. Shame he didn't 'cos he's a liability on the pitch for us now as a result.

I think everyone is so pissed off with him because we know just how boss he can be.

But he can't be ar3ed and seems to have a nasty habit of bottling tackles when he came to us as a supposed hard man.

What a waste.

Definitely a good thing the WC is coming up - this way we may actually get some money for him and get him off the wage bill. Otherwise he probably would stay collecting his large pay packet for doing nowt and leaving for free.

I think you can take this another way too, he's showing ambition to want to play first team football and recognising that means he probably has to go elsewhere to do so. There are plenty of pro's who are happy to bench warm and take the money, I think it's pretty refreshing that he doesn't want to do that.

wut?

seriously?

First season he was boss, season before last he was as well, even when on top form at CH he got messed about by Moyes, in fairness last season he was terrible wherever he played, but given a run in the past he has shown he was an excellent CH when on form, we played better football with him at the back and he maintened is form regardless of who he was playing alongside, even when it was Hibbert, Duffy or Niell. The Ashley Cole thing was utterly boss, wish a few more of our players could introduce a bit of snide to their game. I liked him, wish him all the best, but its probably the best thing for both parties that he moves on.

If we got a fee for him in January that would be a big bonus and can't see it myself. I think he might just be let go (on loan or something) just to get him off the wages bill from January to end of season.

...'interesting offers' mean nobody was prepared to pay him enough money. He's set out his stall to pick up big bucks and run down his contract getting splinters in his backside. Suspect January is a point where we would let him walk for free and he could ask for a tidy signing on fee. That fee will compensate for drop in salary.
