@The Penny Blue I think we’ll sell him regardless but a work permit is still possible.

As odd as it may sound, if Nigeria make the semi-finals, it actually doesnt matter if he has played any percentage of matches for them. All that matters is that they make the semi-finals, and that he is from that country. Because per the FA's rules, the last 1 point he needs would be awarded if:

"The player participated in a prescribed lower percentage (Secondary Percentage) of competitive international matches within the previous 24-month period; or the player’s international side was a semi-finalist in the Asian Cup, or African Cup of Nations in the 12 months preceding the application.

I agree. Would like to see him in blue for once but sadly I think he has become something of a forgotten child to Silva and Brands.
Don’t be silly
Everton is a business
He is an overseas asset worth millions
They are very much keeping an eye on him ...
it’s just not in the interests if anyone other than we GOT fans desperate for a sight of him in blue, to report on every moment of his status. There can be no other plans fir him until his stays says “permit approved “
Until then their attention should rightly be on players we need to ship out and players we can buy who ARE eligible

The chances of him ever playing in a blue shirt are becoming less likely as time goes by. I predict we will sell him for less than we purchased him, just to get him off the books. We seem to do that a lot!

How do you work that out when we paid 7mil and there’s a bid of 18mil on the table. That maybe a load of rubbish. But 100% we will make a profit.

Just out of interest can anyone else remember such a saga with any other player for any club like this? Not saying that this is a typical Everton situation just curious. May be an indication of how the club was being run at the time by Koeman and Walsh et al.
