I'd rather believe the people that were there, some of them friends mate, rather than the authorities covering their backs.

You've obviously not read the most definate account of it all then, the Justice Taylor report.

Should I?

I'm not saying your wrong, but you obviously have an emotional reason, and I can understand that.

Id rather you did, since youre an educated man and can form opinions without tainted views on the internet.

I havent read it like, but know of the summaries.

In short: the South Yorkshire Police were very, very wrong.

Also research the bit about the ambulances not being allowed on the pitch that could have saved lives that day.

The fans rushing the gates is wrong mate. Do your research.

I can link you some fans accounts of Hillsborough if you want to do some rethinking.

They did.

I have an article regarding Hillsborough published in a Liverpool magazine so had to research a fair bit.

Point scoring? - Not sure about that one.

As I keep saying, remember the 96 - rather than justice.

Ambulances not being allowed on the pitch? - or a breakdown in communication? Depends whos account you want to believe.

So the police purposely wanted them to die. You have that viewpoint?

But there was an ambulance on the pitch.

They did.

They did rush the gates?

One ambulance on the pitch, just one. With more available to come on but wasnt allowed.

It was a semi final, fans will turn up without tickets. It will get busy, you have to account for this. Im not saying that those fans who rushed dont have any responsibility, but the police failure to make the right decisions without doubt caused the death of many fans.

And Danny, where did I say the police wanted them to die. Come on mate, youre better than this.

Im most certainly not anti police. Just anti South Yorkshire Police for that day in April, twenty years ago.

It was the Polices fault. Plain and simple, they just had pissed up scousers in their head and nothing they saw changed their minds. When people started dying thats when the cover up started.

Chico? Care to comment?

Theres nothing to comment on.

Liverpool fans rushed the gate. Search "This caused a rush of supporters through the gate into the stadium" via google...

Just as they did in 2007;

Any fair analysis will have to conclude some responsibility rests with the fans who knowingly bought forged tickets, and ticket-less fans who tried to rush gates, or just create an incident, knowing in the end, as happens every time, not everyone's ticket will be checked.

BBC SPORT | Football | My Club | Liverpool | Liverpool tickets Q&A

It was a cumulative failure.

You can point score all you like regarding who was more at fault but you'll get nowhere.

Anyone who says "justice for the 96" - ask them what they mean and what it will take for them to stop calling for justice....

As I keep saying. Remember the 96.

Well... what were you instigating?

Yes, they were at fault but to place the blame entirely on the police is either ignorance or idiocy.

Yes, remember them.

And lets not point score.

That very evident from the analysis of the event.

Wading in, accusing people of point scoring, and then placing all blame on the police and giving reasons why - is that not point scoring no?

I agree that possibly there should be some blame put towards the fans without tickets who rushed the gates. But they should not have been anywhere near the turnstyles. The police should have stopped any fans without tickets going anywhere near the ground.

It was an FA Cup Semi-Final, they surely had enough time to properly arrange the policing.
