Corbyn won PMQs, trouble is less than 30 mins later his spokesman in post PMQs briefing made some crass remarks regarding Russia / US actions in Syria that will now dominate the news cycle.

Story of his leadership 1 step forward followed back 2 steps backwards.

No he stood on a stop the war Rally never mentioned Syria he got he heckled by Syrian refugees as it was the left wing stop the Isilites groups no anti Russia sentiments at that meeting!
The Arab countries will never take putin on!

Joe mate I know Katerji (the heckler) personally and he is not a Syrian refugee. Neither he nor Hamad are, they are both fruitcakes of the highest order. Obsessed with the idea that a "progressive" opposition to Assad and Isis exists. Katerji even thinks 70k soliders ready to fight ISIS and the government (bizarrely quoted by Cameron) was true. He also seems to think there's a cadre of socialists ready to take control ah la the Bolsheviks in 1917.

The blunt reality of the conflict is that the US have been openly arming and training "moderate" and "progressive" rebels. They (the CIA) estimate that over an 18 month program they managed to recruit 52 people and estimate as few as 13 are now in the field, who want to fight the government and ISIS. At best these people take the arms and ignore ISIS, at worst they will take the arms and At worst they funnel them to ISIS.

This should be of no surprise to us though. Part (a large part) of the moderate rebels are the AL Nusra Front who are Al Queda’s sister organisation in Syria. Not known moderate or progressive we do have to ask questions why Cameron, Clinton and the government are happy to provide arms and support to such an organisation? Likewise on what basis they can then complain when the organisations they are arming commit atrocities in Europe?

For Katerji what he objects too is not Corbyn’s desire not to criticise Russia. (Corbyn and STW have, on many occasions made it clear Russia should stop bombing). What they object to is they refuse to support a rebel force which is increasingly made up of Sunni extremists or more widely they want to increase Sunni domination of the region.

There are no crocodile tears for the treatment of the Shia minority in Yemen or for the Kurdish community in the north of Syria, or indeed more alarmingly within Turkey where the Erdogan government fosters an atmosphere akin to Crystal Night in the Kurdish regions. Katerji remains silent on this and in fact is supportive of the Erdogan rule when it comes to Syria, and his rebel heroes attack the PKK in the North.

Then we have Russia, wrongly bombing. Yet they are bombing trying to attack ISIS. Is this not what just about every knuckle-head were shouting post Paris bombings? I am not saying it’s right but it shows the stupidity of the rhetoric. Why are NATO members, backed by America allowed to gun down planes on their way to strike ISIS areas?

Again the reality lies in the uncomfortable truth that ISIS are heavily funded and supported by elements of the American state. Hezbollah nobly captured some ISIS fighters recently and turned out they were CIA agents.

I know people want to turn everything into hating Muslims. However the blunt reality of what we see today in Syria is an extremist Sunni grouping looking to wipe out Shia minorities being funded to the teeth by gulf states, America, Israel and worryingly the British government. Corbyn tries to stand against it by saying nobody should be bombing. Idiots like Katerji hide behind mythical ideas of revolution.

The same people who are funding and offering support to ISIS are the very same people who target Muslims for “having a problem with extremism”. They would do better to point the mirror at themselves. Frankly anyone who wants to solely oppose Russia in this is allowing groups like AL Queda and ISIS to grow to commit further acts of violence.

Great post.....

Al Nusra are no longer Al Queda affiliated.

Again the reality lies in the uncomfortable truth that ISIS are heavily funded and supported by elements of the American state. Hezbollah nobly captured some ISIS fighters recently and turned out they were CIA agents.

That is a massive claim. Do you have any credible evidence to share with us to back that up?

The person on LBC was a lady so I think we have crossed wires it is not the person you mention about ISIS some good points in that I agree with ok;)

If you believe that you will believe anything. I will search for the link to post in. It is quite widely known that the CIA were heavily involved in financing the opposition (who refuse to attack ISIS). It is also well known they fund Turkey and Saudi who then arm ISIS.
