He may as well head up a party called Socialist Party Momentum because that's where his support current is....

i do find it interesting that people keep talking about labour needing to split and forming a new social democratic party or whatever, surely is far more likely for a new far left party to be formed?

He won't do that because he's not a man of integrity, if he was he wouldn't of sat with the Labour backbenchers putting forward his pathetic protest vote and acting as their token socialist. He did so knowing full well anything he said would be ignored all the while excepting money from that same Blairite government. If he was a legitimate Socialist he'd of left the Labour party years ago and joined another party such as TUSC, but then there would be much less money in it for him that way.

If Labour have to choose a new leader, my faves would be Dan Jarvis or Hilary Benn.

Jarvis might, but he's too inexperienced.

Benn, no chance. If he had genuinely leadership ambitions, he wouldn't have picked so publicly a fight with Corbyn and the far left. Honestly don't think he even wants it.
