Hilary Benn Sacked From The Shadow Cabinet - wider political debate

Maybe on Mars, Milkman, but here on planet earth JC is not electable in 1000 years. And it doesn't matter what my opinion is, your opinion, the Editor of the Daily Mail's opinion - because the 40 million strong electorate at large think he has no credibility as a political leader.

I'm just going to point out that it probably does matter what people's opinions are when it comes to voting.

Yeah, of course you've got to compromise a little. Trying to force him to resign isn't much of a compromise though is it?

Leadership of a major political party brings with it the ugliness of party infighting, media attacks and everything else. It takes a good leader to deal with it all effectively (not by offering a once in a lifetime, country-ruining referendum, though) to sort it out. I don't think he's a strong leader. He's a principled guy, and no doubt he has many supporters - over 60% of members voted for him - but there is no doubt in my mind that he is, and has been, out of his depth.

Ultimately, however, the Labour party is left in an awful mess whatever the outcome. Corbyn goes and the majority of his supporters are left feeling let down (although I would be interested to see how many who voted for him would vote for him again), or he stays and has to win over a large amount of MP's who don't want him there.

I would assume that the person has been caught to know this information? What type of 'labour activist are they? A trade union type? A Labour party activist?

It is a statement that has no basis until the perpetrator/s is/are caught. Similar to Angela Eagles' claim that the brick thrown through her constituency window was 'done in his (Corbyn's) name'?
I suppose it was an annoyed Tory then or a ukiper?

There is as much evidence to conclude that it was an annoyed Tory or a Ukiper as there is to conclude it was a labour activist. As there is to indicate that 'it was done in his (Corbyn's) name' as claimed by Angela Eagles.

Ok it was a Wolfie Smith activist then power to the people paid his £3.00 so he can vandalise an office window just a coincidence that it was someone who stood up against King Jezza!
Please do not defend the indefensible as I stated this sort of action by a few will not put the Labour Party back in government they are outs side the NEC now momentum really need to form their own party with Jezza and see if they get an MP these activist were got rid of in the early 1980 s!

Absolutely, it's might be a total game changer whichever way it goes. I'm just interested in this 'he's not a strong leader' thing though, and I'm sorry to keep banging on, but it's an opinion a few people have but can't seem to justify. Not to target you specifically, but what could he have done differently since becoming leader that would have shown strength? You yourself have said his treatment from the media has been abhorrent.

Neil Kinnock is encouraging people to join the Labour Party if they do not like Jeremy Corbyn.

Could you point out where I have 'defended the indefensible'?

You have no evidence it was 'a labour activist' just 'coincidence'. Deary me.

Anyone has the right to go outside the building where the NEC is meeting and let their opinion(s) by known. As it is the right of people to demonstrate outside the Tory party conference and the BBC if they so wish.

Momentum have you seen the state of them if the want a power to the people party start on themselves do not hijack a Labour Party with a nutter in charge of it wanting to activate article 50 the very next day!
I see he's rushed down to the NEC meeting worried he will not get on the leadership ballot paper today lol
If he does Labour will be unelectable, and I ver told my union that if they do not get rid I am leaving them!

What has the 'state of them' got to do with anything?

Why are you so scared of invoking article 50? What are you worried about?

The leader of the Labour party is allowed to attend NEC meetings, it's in the Labour party rules.

It is very simple really. You are obviously concerned about the Labour party. To soothe your concern they should have an election of the whole membership, between Corbyn and anyone else that wants to stand.

Not a strong leader if I had a dispute with the management and he turned up a my representative my heart would sink he's incompetent at putting a statement of fact together!

Obviously, you are a concerned Labour party person who didn't like Corbyn campaigning to remain. No one needs to mount a legal challenge - appears similar to those that don't like it when a union takes industrial action -it is simple put a ballot out with Corbyn's name on it and anyone else who wants to stand.

No the rules will seek a legal challenge if any mp goes into a lead ship battle they are as clear as mud badly written up!
Corbyn has not got the PLP support!
