Mate the language used initially is misogynstic hate speech. The question you need to answer is why are you questioning someone for stating misogynistic hate speech should not be taken seriously? From a club who have wife beaters on the staff, and won't sack him on the basis of "Mo Salah may do it" according to their friendly journo in the Echo. It's not acceptable and needs to be challenged.

They will try to weaponise Hillsborough around it. I don't use the phrase but most who use it (including every Evertonian i've ever met) are not using it in relation to Hillsborough. For me I wouldn't use it and it's not for me. But neither is trying to drag Hillsborough into any time they act wrongly to get themselves out of trouble. That does enormous damage to the Hillsborough campaign.

I mean the thick twonks are retweeting vile imagery of James McCarthy's injury with hashtags to Hillsborough in their name. That does more damage to the cause than any of the imaginary insults they allege Evertonians have made (even if they were true, which of course they were not). Not that a single LFC has challenged these lads on it, from what I saw on twitter, only Evertonians. Plenty laid into the Evertonians though. It gives you an idea of their priorities. Happily threaten and lay into Evertonians trying to defend the memory of Hillsborough before they challenge those who tarnish their memory. Thats your Kopite MO these days for most of them. Scum.

I'm not sure on that mate, if he has used hate speech it should be an 8 game ban (the Terry case was a joke and we should be avoiding that). There's no such thing as justification for hate speech. Given it's the clubs numerous offence it should be longer than 8 really.

I also think LFC need to be tackled as a result of this behaviour too. I'd say a 3-5 year ban from the FA Cup to avoid them bringing shame on the trophy again (after the Oldham affair) would suffice. That would be proportionate and reasonable and may begin to get through the knuckle heads that racism isn't acceptable.

But this is the FA we are talking about, so expect them to get off lightly and racism to be ignored.

The Oldham affair as you call it was investigated by Merseyside Police who interviewed the fans in the surrounding area as well as viewing enhanced CCTV and the consensus was that the fan shouted you Manc [Poor language removed] at Tom Adeyemi who was playing for a Greater Manchester team.

Evertonians have been magnificent over Hillsborough, absolutely magnificent. Any true Liverpool supporter (not some hank who thinks they have to use it as a cudgel against all comers for football related arguments) knows that to be true.
