No disrespect to the three but probably 90% of the city of Liverpool won't even have heard if them players. I started supporting us mid 80s as a kid and even then I wouldn't have been able to name the holy trinity then.We need to drag ourselves into the 21st century,all our legends are from the black and white era. The RS are constantly making new ones.
The pictures of the holy trinity are in colour see old pictures thread - as for not seeing them or naming them boy you missed out the best midfield ever to grace an English club!

I don't dispute their ability but I think it is too far down the line for statues of them now. These are for history books and personal memories. It just shows to the modern day supporter that all we do is look backwards.Where,is our Salah, Gerrard,Suarez etc because that is all the local kids and fans of the future will remember in 10 years time.

Seriously though mate, I started supporting Everton just before this period. As much as I enjoyed the mid 8Os team my dad said the midfield wasn’t a patch on the holy trinity of the 1970 team. Ball, Harvey and Kendall weren’t just loved and respected by Evertonian’s, but fans of other clubs including the kopites, who acknowledged how good they were. I know we shouldn’t live in the past, but I think it is important to acknowledge our history and in particular this astounding trio of footballers. They played the game long before every game was televised and you tube was a distant memory. However there exploits are there for all to see.
Why do we have a statue of Dixie Dean then? No logic if you had seen them play you would never be posting that guff!
