Well, what I'm learning here is that maybe I shouldn't engage in some of those tactics, which I have (as recently as the last 36 hours, and on this very forum) been manifestly guilty of. This is what I mean by learning from the bad input.

I think you think I take myself a lot more seriously than I do. I also think that perhaps we both ought to take other people more seriously some of the time, which is something that men tend not to do. We tend to try to laugh off uncomfortable truths, which can be good in the right situations but less good in others.

Once, I tried to cover up my woeful technical nous by claiming it was intentional that the site wasn't very good on iOS devices. I said it was like a nightclub shoe entry policy, our way to keep out the riff raff.
