....good work, CJ.

i actually think Love would’ve won that Derby had she been entered. She was very impressive. I looked straight away for the 25-1 on offer for the Arc but it was immediately cut to 8s.

...I’d gone off Mogul a bit after its run in the King George at Ascot, but I have it in an ante-post double @ 11-1 with Golden Horde (won) 16-1 Commonwealth Cup. Only small stakes, but a very nice return if Mogul wins.

i backed Mohican Heights @ 33-1 last week. It was doing all of its best work at the end of the King George and actually passed Mogul before the line. I’m not so keen on flat racing, but I imagine the extra distance will suit Mohican.

Khalifa Sat would be an amusing winner given Tom Marquand was ‘jocked-off’ English King by Dettori.
Happy for Tom Marquand. He seems like an honest jockey

Will Enable, the Queen of racing, win today.
John Gosdens horses don’t appear to be in the same form as they were at Ascot so I wouldn’t be lumping on at that price.
Fascinating race though.

Yet the races were run in near identical times, Eggs (Love about half a second faster).

I am going to keep an open mind about Serpentine and take that run at face value until proven otherwise.

If that run was a true reflection of his ability he could be a superstar in waiting.

(if he had started a short priced favourite and won like that he would be being hailed as the next big thing)

He just wasn’t for stopping....reminded me of Slip Anchor or, dare I say it, Shergar.

As for Love, she was indeed spectacular.

I wonder will they be tempted to go for the fillies Triple Crown with her?

But imagine if she faced off against Enable at Longchamp :)

....it’ll be fascinating to see how the season plays out with both of them. I wasn’t shrewd enough to get tasty ante-post vouchers on either so it’ll be a watching brief for me.

The Triple Crown has to be a distinct possibility for Love, especially with such sporting owners. Serpentine looks a relentless stayer, so they could well meet in the St Leger. I have Arthur’s Kingdom in that @ 25-1, and although it’s shorter now I can’t see it troubling Love or Serpentine if they turn up.

Good racing today. The great Aidan O’Brien with a couple of runners at Newmarket.

I like the look of the Balding/Murphy combo at York 4:50 with Edinburgh Castle 7/1
Trainer bang in form and good Jockey over a distance.
