Horse Racing

I think I read somewhere that amateur riders will not be allowed at Cheltenham due to COVID restrictions.
That is a great shame. I've won a few bob on the Coddfather at Cheltenham down the years.
This one is my all time favourite: Fayonagh in the bumper at 7/1.

Bloody ell didn't know that ,shame that

I’ve just taken 9/1 for both Hurricane Harvey and Kalooki, the two outsiders in the 1-50 Ascot, the stats give them a squeak in a 6 horse race that has given us some cracker horses over the years, Our Vic and Royal athlete to name a couple.
I wonder if there’s anything running today in that calibre.

I’ve also had a little each way bet on Donna’s Diamond 100/1 in the 2-05 Haydock, I wasn’t going to back this but something kept niggling away at me because it should never be that price, I’d have thought it’s more like a 25/1 shot.

I've just had a quick look a Donna's Diamond and it does seem to run its best races at Haydock - best of luck.
My each way value bet today is Regal Encore in the 14.25 at Ascot 12/1. He's an old stager but if he puts in a
clear round he's got a chance.

I done Regal Encore EW just before the off so nice one, dragged me back into it, thanks.
Then I looked and I had a free bet off Coral for one of mine (fail to finish) so I put it on Dentley Dee Me, won 4/1 at Wincantonlol haven’t won a great deal but I’m on the right side today.

I‘ve just done DCL to score 2 or more goals and Keane to score anytime. 10/1 and 11/1 let’s hope the luck continues

What is the rationale behind the decision to ban amateur jockeys?

What difference does it make vis a vis COVID regulations if a jockey is amateur or professional?

And what will happen to the Christies Foxhunters Chase, the “Amateur’s Gold Cup”, at Chelters and the big Hunter Chase at the National meeting if amateurs can’t ride?

Or indeed to the Hunter Chase season in general?

And now I come to think of it, if hunting has been cancelled due to COVID, how will horses qualify to run in hunter chases this season at all?

Apparently its all to do with COVID guidelines.
I can't really work it out myself either to be honest.
But it is what it is I guess. Big shame though its
a big part of the festival.
