No getting away from the fact that the great Aiden O’Brien usually sends 3 or 4 to the Derby but relies on just the one this year, favourite Bolshoi Ballet. The price is much too short for me though.

For an interest in the race I’ve just had a tenner each way on gear up, 22/1.
Had Bolshoi Ballet behind as a 2yo
Likes the soft
The extra 2 furlongs should suit.

I’ve done Gear Up as well. I just hope that the ground doesn’t dry up too much.

My favourite jockey won me a few quid yesterday. Martin Dwyer and Pyledriver. My favourite horse is running today- Duke Of Firenze. I know he's an old boy now but at 33/1 and bookies paying first five on the Epsom Dash I reckon he could sneak a place.

As for The Derby, I've gone Mac Swiney to win and Youth Spirit each way. Thought it ran well in The Chester Vase and could be overpriced.

I was at Epsom yesterday for the Oaks and had Frankie on Snowfall.
It rained solidly all day - both me and the ground were sopping wet. Can't imagine it's dried out much although the sun is shining now.

Had a tenner on One Ruler. Just an interest bet more than anything. Just can’t get into the flat at the moment. Need a superstar to come along and excite me. Hopefully yesterday solved that.
