….attempted to put a £1 ante-post Cheltenham Yankee on with SkyBet yesterday but they wouldn’t allow it. Apparently they have restricted my a/c following my pay outs at Cheltenham in March.

I’m actually feeling a bit smug rather than annoyed.
Pick and choose when you can do your bet, na they're bang out of order ,part of racing is doing your homework and studying, by the always doesn't always work and they're happy to take your money then. Getting penalised for being a shrewd punter.

….irony is, I only bet to small stakes ante-post but I did hit Sky quite hard, especially on their Request a Bet section. i broke the Yankee down into doubles, trebles etc & used other accounts so managed to get the bet on.

…ha, ha. I’m on a brilliant horse racing forum & at the end of every month folk put suggestions together for a Yankee. I have to admit that many of the leads I get are from that site, ridiculously knowledgeable punters.

We haven’t got a Yankee up as yet, but certainly in profit the last few years. It only takes one or two doubles to hit the mark each year.

June Yankee;
ShewearsitWell 14-1 Mares Hurdle
Journey with Me 25-1 Albert Bartlett
Farouk D’alene 25-1 Festival Novice Chase
Easyland 4-1 Cross Country Chase

Best odds were 43,939-1 with Sky but I notice SheWearsitWell is into 12-1 with them.

i think this one is particularly speculative, but you never know. Not quite the buzz of this time last year, bookies are certainly more defensive.

Happy to share the others so far this year if folk are interested but these are ante-post and non-runners are very likely, so firms with cash-out (Bet365, Paddy Power, Betfair) often the shrewdest to go with.

Yes please Eggs.

Yes please Eggs.

…here you go (prices quoted were those at that time);

March; Flooring Porter 6-1 (Stayer): Bob Ollinger 4-1 (Marsh): Appreciate It 4-1 (Arkle): Monkfish 5-1 (Gold Cup)

April; Run Wild Fred 12-1 (NH Chase): My Drogo 8-1 (Marsh): Thyme Hill 5-1 (Stayers): Elimay 9/2 (Mares Chase)

May; Klassical Dream 6-1 (Stayers): Echoes in the Rain 14-1 (Champion Hurdle): Galopin des Champs 8-1 (Festival Nov Chase): Galvin 25-1 (Grand National).

Galvin was the plunge horse, we were all on it at huge prices & incorporated it in multiples. It went off favourite & won the NH Chase well under a brilliant ride. I mentioned it on here as one for next years National if it remains fit and well.

If I think on, I’ll post the selections each month.

Just backed a horse at Wolves in the 20.55.
Kayfast Warrior.
Ran under a 6lb penno after a win last time and I’ve not seen a horse win so easily for a long time.
If it comes out again quickly without another penno, get on !
