Horse Racing

Hello neighbour runs tomorrow in leopardstown. Been very well backed already for the triumph hurdle.. still around 16s for it.

….the play was probably the one I highlighted on my racing forum, 40-1 with PP to win on Boxing Day and the TH. Surprised how long that 40-1 lasted, was only cut to 20-1 yesterday afternoon. I’m a book builder and he was one that escaped me, an ex-flat horse with a trainer not usually known for training Juveniles but the money has been relentless.

Willy de Houelle has been the hype horse for the Triumph all summer but was disappointing on debut. A lot of Mullins horses have needed the first run and the plan is to ride him differently. For my book, I’d be hoping Murcia wins, she was super impressive on her last run in France but could do with it a bit softer.

Kopek des Bordes in the first is worth a watch, I put him up on here for the Festival a while ago and he’s making his debut over hurdles. Paul Townend has elected to come over and ride Lossiemouth and Ballyburn at Kempton in fascinating races over the next couple of days.

Good luck everybody.

Won anyway. Couldn't see much with the fog . Didn't seem to jump brilliantly but will improve for that you'd expect

….i took that 40-1 for him to win yesterday and TH so he’s in the book now for relatively small outlay (I did like the horse of Mullins that ran him close). Apparently he jumped fine until the last couple but he clearly has ability and a decent attitude.

That ‘win today and festival’ market is always worth looking at. Hills, PP/SB and Sky usually have offers under their ‘specials’ tag.

…..another one that’s being given a severe haircut in the Triumph betting is Lulamba. I got him in my book last year at 33s when he was mentioned on my racing forum. He had won on debut in France and was sold to be trained in this country.

Anyway, he’s with Nicky Henderson and since he got an entry to run this weekend he’s been battered in the betting (as low as 5-1 with firms offering NRNB, Bet 365 have a special boosted 12-1 at the moment). Maybe the bookies are running scared that he could be the next Sir Gino, but you’d have to think stable money is at play here.

He could be hype, but he’ll certainly be interesting to watch if he turns up and the weather allows this weekend.

Interesting.
Have been told that connections of Amen Kate rate her exceptionally highly. Won her bumper as she liked and 2nd and third have both won since
Probably runs in the mares bumper at the DRF but cheltenham is the goal.
Still around 16s

…..with Patrick Mullins onboard which is a little bit of an eye-opener. She’s interesting, I’ll put her in a double with Sixandahalf (Mares Novice Hurdle) before she runs at the weekend, I think she might be decent too.

Whereabouts on PP site is this please mate? Searched future and specials but nothing showing up.

…..sorry KK, it’s not up at the moment. PP have a habit of taking out some of their Special lists and bringing them back again. This particular one came under a header ‘2025 Specials’. I’ll keep an eye on it and if they put them up again I’ll let you know right away.

Brilliant, thank you Eggs.

…..Salvator Mundi finally entered to run in Moscow Flyer on Sunday. He’s been Mullins Supreme hype horse for a bit, be good if he comes out and does the business, it should be a good race if he turns up.
