Would s ell him if we had someone capable of replacing him which we don't.so we have to bring someone in, we should have had an understudy in case this happens. Sam Byram might be worth a punt

Based on every interview and every conversation I've seen with this lad, Everton is home.

A giant money move to United would destroy him IMO. He's not 'that guy'.

He's a lad from a small town who's made it big already and is only just growing into that. He isn't ready to be the 30 mil guy from Everton IMO.

Sky certainly are pushing this deal as much as they can. It is in their interest to have a competitive UTD team

Can you believe that the clueless Geordie sister paper of the Echo, the Trinity Mirror-owned Chronicle has written an article on Coleman bemoaning how Newcastle could have signed him in 2009? Apart from calling him a '£25m Man' and acting as if it's a given that he's going to Man Utd, the absolute best bit is some fella in the paper quoted as saying 'I think Everton paid £200,000 for him'.

WTF? We've been singing how much we paid for him for the last 5 years!

I'd take Luke Shaw money for him. But I imagine we will tell them to do one unless Coleman really demands a move, and I don't think he's that sort of player.

I hope we get - "very happy at Everton" comments in the next few days. "We are building something here" kind of stuff.

Just another great example of the dross that is written about our club and players, the never ending story.

Our Seamus is the perfect combo of a great footballer, a lovely humble lad but also somehow completely mad (see: kicking the advertising board, that handball this season).

It's the perfect triumvirate of everything I like in a player. The club is clearly adamant he's not for sale which makes me very happy as he's easily one of my favourite players and I'm sure the same goes for almost all of our fans.

Hilariously, lazy Dave Prentice stole the story and put it in the Echo! At least he corrected the £60,000 error:
