i've always argued it's incompetence not coruption when it comes to refereeing & to an extent VAR as neutralised the historic bias towards league leaders and with Project restart the arguement of fans influencing refs is also gone.

But what we have seen in the last few weeks with Man United is nothing short of disgraceful. The dissallowed goals last night was the right call, but how the penalty last night was ignored by VAR & the previous week ignored by VAR brings serious question about whether there is a collective effort from the PL to get them into CL

PS - I completely buy into the Hotballs in draws theories.

Undoubtedly corrupt in some aspects but nowhere near as corrupt as comically paranoid fanbases like to make out.

Id imagine most of the corruption is business related rather than on field officiating/ref bias etc

You obviously haven't been watching our games. Bad VAR decisions have cost us a minimum of 4 points possibly 5 since the restart. Even the powers that be said all three decisions that went against us were all incorrect.

Sorry if that doesn't fit with your bias.

It's not bias. Everytime I watched you earlier in the season you were getting decisions. Not watched much since the re-start but if that's evened itself up, then good.

You mean like when one of our players wrongly got sent off in an away game we were coasting and then with 10 men we ended up conceding a 96th minute equaliser?

Almost every country has had a Referreeing scandal
The Premier League twigged that you can get caught if one or two Reffs are bent. But if all the Reffs are inside the tent peeing out its not a problem - hence PGMOL...allegedly. without prejudice, etc.
Is that an LBJ quote?
