Watching the QPR v Man Utd replay at the moment. Sweet Lord Falcao has missed some sitters. Really can't score at the momemt. Amazing what lack of confidence does to even the best in the world.

Been quite a shift in opinions on redcafe about LVG since the New Year, bit similar to how there was a quick slide in their support of Moyes at the same stage of the season.
A colleague of mine is a season ticket holder at Old Trafford; has been for almost thirty years. Overall, a very rational and patient gentlemen.

He's not what I would call a critic of Van Gaal, but he's yet to be convinced by many of his decisions this season.

His point of view is that the league position flatters Manure and Van Gaal progress this season, over what he saw last season with Moyes.

On the 1st February 2014 they were on 40 points. Come the same time this year, they can be a maximum of three points above that total.

Has the football improved? He argues no. In fact, in many games it has somewhat regressed (notably yesterday).

The league this season has also very topsy-turvy some may say, meaning many of their results have been very fortunate.

This year they're fourth, while the same points last season meant they were either eighth or ninth (I think he mentioned).

His whole point is that Van Gaal is getting leniency which Moyes did not, even though he had much less expenditure and better performances.

People have mentioned that it takes Van Gaal's teams time to adapt, so results may come. He's also the big name they expected.

However, they're expecting better football of an apparently 'better' manager, who has spent a lot of money.

Their performances season applied to last season and they would have been even bottom half of the table.

Seems similar to a lot of the comments on Redcafe. Not so much wanting him out but disappointed that they are not seeing better football, and players in their best positions, given his reputation and the money spent. 352 has become a bit of a swear word on the site!

Had nothing better to do than watch the SSSS pundits talking about LVG yesterday before the 3 pm matches. Obviously Bignose will very rarely say anything good at all to with Manure, but the other 3 were scathing about LVG's approach to the press predicting that if they hit another rough patch this season, he will get slaughtered.
Personally, if he's thick-skinned enough then let him talk to the press as he likes. Our media likes nothing else as much sticking the knife in, but you get the feeling they'd have to stab more than usual.

...he will be looking forward to playing Everton again.

Their fans are being fleeced by proper professionals........ Mind you it was copied from the DM......

"Manchester United have warned fans that if they do not buy a ticket for their FA Cup replay with Cambridge United they will have their season tickets suspended.

The club have written to those who have not yet paid out for the televised fourth-round clash with the League Two side and told them that if they do not do so they will not be allowed entry to their Premier League home fixture against Sunderland.

United operate a system in which season card holders agree to buy additional tickets for cup matches - although there are opt outs for Capital One Cup games and under 16s can opt out of FA Cup matches."

I know it is in the small print of their season tickets but that is ridiculous. Many people won't be able to go because of work and family commitments that the cannot be rearranged given that the replay is being done at such short notice.
