Most bizarre that Shaw business, the lad is injured now with small grown tear, could explain his performance, Mourinho is busted flush walking into money laden clubs and flaunting his ego about. The united team is lazy and poor defensively, I'm amazed we got Williams, thought United or the gunners might have snuck off with him.

I didn't watch much of the City or Watford match but was kind of suprised how well Shaw was doing after the injury. Jose probably wanted to bring in a old fart like Ivanivoc to replace him and is throwing a tantrum.

Jose is a great frontrunner who is incredible at needling and unsettling sides below him. However if you are anywhere below 2nd all his awfulness comes to the forefront and turns inward toward his own club and own supporters.

If he going to play then he should be a striker and is he even good in this position anymore but in midfield he is garbage. He to slow for starters plus his passing is not good enough.

Think the problem with rooney is that he is not the focal point of the team and as a result becomes a burden to get him on the pitch in some capacity. He isn't as good holding as shneiderlin, isn't as creative as similar players in the forward role, and not as fast as 2 of the strikers and not as good a finisher as the other.

If rooney was in a team where he was the best player in it and the focus was just on him then you would probably see the best of him again, granted not the 22 year old version but a striker who can score at least.

Perhaps this opens the door for his return (welcomed or not) as playing him behind rom in the team would probably be a good thing for us. Him being able to do the playmaker role further up which is what we are lacking a little with ross currently.

Not sure why Rooney doesn't envisage a move to MLS,he could earn good money there practically playing within his own comfort zone and still be the top player in that league for years until his mid 30's.

He's won everything in the game at club level and has nothing to prove anymore,don't know why he needs this hassle being slagged off by his own fans and the media every week.

Indeed. It's a real mind-boggler that a club spends £90m on a player and then Ums and Ahs about knocking a 30yr old Rooney down to the bench so that he can play in the most effective position. Maybe when Jose has his feet firmly under the table he'll do the same as with John Terry. Which ended up in him losing the dressing room to Terry and getting the sack.
Rooney won't leave because he and family are settled. That contract will be the death of his playing career but he'll do it because he'll never earn anywhere near that amount of money anywhere else. Unless he goes to China or maybe MLS. He should be all about the money now, and rightly so because for some reason, even with that face on him, his image rights and ad deals are worth a fortune. The lad should milk it while he can.
