How stupid are Manu?

would you say jose was right about mata in the long run?

Yes I think he was. But Mata is still an extremely gifted player, as he proved at Chelsea before Mourinho joined them. He needs better players around him though and he hasn't had that at United - until now.

Mata is a far better no.10 than Wazza will ever be. I personally am gutted we didn't sell Rooney and keep Welbeck too.

I think Falcao coming in will help Mata a lot.

His movement and hold up play will make everything much easier for those playing behind him.

Rooney has played Utd like a fiddle over the years and held them for ransom numerous times...it must grate on Utd fans.

This all day long.

He is the only player that has got what he wants.....he even picks the halftime playlist etc.

And what they hate even more....that player to do this....is a scouser !!!

Who has scored 217 goals in 445 appearances for you and could become your all time leading goal scorer.

He's not what he was and he might be a granny shagger...but overrated?
He is overrated. He's squandered a fair amount of talent in his time at United. He's scored quite a lot still but that's only served to mask his decline. We should be talking about him being the most gifted and prolific striker this country has probably ever produced, but we aren't.

Totally agree with this.

Man Utd, specifically Ferguson, took every bit of bite, snide, rawness from his game and turned him into a stereotypical Utd 'clean image' footballer.

Hes made a good career for himself and is a good player - but the Rooney we saw break through was just frightening. Yes players lose their youthfullness, but shouldnt lose the things that made them so good in the first place.

1) What, stopped him getting sent off all the time? How terrible of them.

2) Which image is this? I don't remember Roy Keane, Jap Staam, Gary Neville, Paul Scholes etc. having this image.

Dont take me so literally friend. Im talking about his aggression on the ball, I could have made that more clear though - granted.

I dont advocate players being dirty and getting sent off!

He used to have zip, selfishness, raw aggression. He would attempt the unrealistic.

Now I just see him doing what a responsible run of the mill footballer would do - simple passes, selfless.

Just my opinion like.

I'd actually say he is underrated...due to the fact that he was overrated so much as a youngster. His scoring record is awesome...people just concentrate on him not becoming the best player in the world.

Could he have utilised his talents more? Possibly yes...he has still had a better career than most others.
