How stupid are Manu?

even more pleased he is doing it at cm, one in the face for ignorant pundits like redknapp and morphy who insist he can only be used at acm, and clearly paid no attention to what he did in 5 years at everton. utd will be good fun under lvg, its an exciting squad even if its still a little patchy in parts
there's plenty of our own that think he was average at cm tbh

Fellaini shouldn't be starting matches when/if LVG gets the quality he wants in the first 11. BUT he's a fantastic option to have against the Stoke City's of this world and will make an excellent squad player, just like Fletcher and O'Shea did back in the day.

Squads win league titles, not first elevens. And MF is a very, very good option to have.

I can't imagine Fellaini sitting on the bench, playing bit parts here and there, watching others playing instead of him. He has the ego and attitude where he believes he is good enough for a first 11 and if he can't get it at Utd, he will go elsewhere. He won't settle being another Darren Fletcher; i don't think so anyway.

I will hold my hands up, I didn't want us to sign Felliani. But LVG has worked wonders on him and Chris Smalling. Both looking very decent at the moment.

I disagree. If he's at a club who are in the CL and challenging for trophies every season, he'll stay. He knows it's a squad game. Fletcher played some VERY important games for United and Fellaini will do the same. Or he can be the star man at a club like Sunderland, playing every minute of most matches - I know what I'd choose though.

When you've got maybe the best goal keeper in the league and clinical strikers, you'll always have a chance. That's the difference between us and Liverpool now - we have match winners on the pitch in Di Maria, Rooney and Van Persie. They have Rickie Lambert.

I am still buzzing this morning. We have our left back, our right back, Di Maria, Falcao and Blind missing yet we've won 5 in a row. We've beat Arsenal and Southampton at their own grounds, drew with a superb Chelsea team, beat Everton, beat a very good West Ham team and narrowly lost to City at their place.

We've got the right manager in charge and we'll only get better once our first choice players are back, hopefully anyway.

I've noticed that a lot of people who were laughing and writing us off after our shaky start to the season have crawled back into their holes, too. Remember, LVG is performing miracles with VALENCIA at right back and ASHLEY YOUNG at left back! Moyes would have us sat in 10th now with the injuries we've had.

We're getting there, slowly and surely.

I would hate to think Felli would settle for just bring a "squad player".

He us a class above Fletcher and O'Shea.

I hope he moves on and establishes himself as a vital member of a starting XI.

You can have him back if you want? £15 million ok? Send the cheque to Ed Woody :)

Although a bit of lumping wouldn't go amiss these days.

I think it's ok to play the tippy tappy stuff for 90+ minutes, every game of the season, if you're Barcelona and have their playing staff AND play against Spanish sides who aren't so physical every weekend.

But you need to mix it up in our league. Laudrup realised this when he took over at Swansea. He kept the footalling ethos there i.e. a short passing, easy-on-the-eye controlled game - but he made them more direct and more aggressive.

Monk is trying to do this with Swansea as well - he's making them more "dirty" if you like, harder to play against.
