Curious what the Euros think about the current American prem keepers. What order would you rate the three of Friedel, Howard, and Guzan right now?

Yep, that's what we like to see, a good bit of backbiting between ourselves.
I am not American, but I do live abroad, meaning I don't get to many games (2 in the last 2 years), but I watch every game on TV so in that sense I see more of EFC playing than most, probably. Going to the match every week, or seeing it on TV every week, doesn't make one person's opinion any more or less valid than the opinion of others IMO. It all comes down to whether you are a master tactician or analyst. None of us is, otherwise we would be employed by some top club being paid silly money each week rather than swapping insults with with other fans on a fan forum. I think some people rate themselves far too highly on here.....
Howard: made some great saves, made some howlers e.g Chelsea, starfish etc. He is not a rock like Southall and Martyn, but few have been, are or will be IMO. Promising young keepers seemed to be reluctant to come to us under Moyes (based on what I have read every now and then, fwiiw) because they seemed to think Howard would always be picked unless injured. Under our new manager, whoever that may be, maybe that will change, but obviously we need someone of sufficient quality to genuinely challenge him/push him aside. No doubt club scouts are out there trying to find that keeper, hopefully for very little money. I have no suggestions, since I am not a pro scout.

Friedel, Howard, Guzan.
Friedel makes the least mistakes, even at 94 or however old he is, Guzan is complete tosh, Howard is a decent Keeper, sometimes, but prone to the some serious howlers, a lot of keepers are, wherever they were born.
Cech is looking back to his best after a shaky few years, De Gea is starting to look half decent, but I doubt his defence sleeps at night, The clown over the park is finished, still makes some decent saves, but just doesnt look good as he used to, Joe Hart has a face you wouldnt tire of smacking, but is a top keeper. Nobody else stands out, Minolet looked the part, but after watching him a few times recently im not totally convinced.
Theres very few really top class keepers around these days and any Keeper that punches instead of catches should retire.

Won both the players and fans award for player of the season at Villa...ahead of Benteke. Can't be all that tosh... In respect to the Friedel comment, I think to rate a keeper you have to take into account saves made as well as mistakes. Friedel does make less mistakes. Howard makes better saves.

I judge players with my own eyes, I tend not to take much notice what other teams think of their own players, maybe your new to the whole Goat player rating system? Only the very best get to be called decent.

Yeah hes alright I suppose, was just casting my rod a little bit, no nibbles, off to bed.
Villa conceded a SHED loads of goals last Season, but they also faced a shed load of shots, cant say I watched a lot of Villa to be honest, so I know very little of the lid.

Very few are brilliant. Agreed hes solid. Had a good season. Saying he was gash was just wrong.

Overall though i like american players, typically hard working and good pro's. Don't think it'll be long before there is some real talent coming through America, just hope everton have the sense to tap into that. Maybe make a youth team over there so we have first pick of the best players from our 'Everton american academy' or whatever. Same with china / rest of asia.
