The confederations cup isn't an international tournment, it's a logistics practice exercise for the world cup hosts. It's no more competitive than the Rous cup was.

End of the day, there are better keepers in the PL, I don't know that it's time yet to waste our limited resources on one of them. We still have other holes to address.

Honestly Howard peaked around about 2010. It's all been downhill since. He was shaky as hell last season and thus far this season he's yet to have a good game.

Well, yeah we all know that Howard will play over Mucha (and before that over Ruddy, Turner and nash) even with two broken arms, so you can't blame Tim if it's obvious to him too. But honestly I think he's just getting old and losing a second or two in speed of though. The second goal was him just not reacting quick enough and being caught between two stools.

All the nonsense about him never have been a good goalkeeper is bollocks but he's been on the decline for more than a year and that's too long for me to view it as just a bad patch of form. I sense another Cahill.

For what it's worth i think Landon and Dempsey are both very good players. Tim Howard isn't. He was never very good, he used to be ok - good, now he is worse than that.
