We were lined up badly for the first goal with everyone facing the ball. Baines didn't know whether to try and play offside or not. It looks like nobody is talking and organising the defence.

The decision to start Barry as the left centre back was laughable, in a back 3, the slowest centre back should always play in the middle so they aren't exposed for pace.

Barry was partly at fault for both goals and should have conceded a penalty, and arguably he shouldn't have been in the starting 11 at all.

I feel like Martinez is taking the **** now with playing players out of position on purpose.

I was at the game today. Very nice of the Hull stewards to hand out free "School of Science" scarves. Obviously some sort of p-take.

I am looking at our forthcoming fixtures and already planning for life in the Championship because I have seen MUCH better teams than EFC 14/15 get relegated in the past....

Haven't been reading this thread but from what I've seen on Twitter I'm really surprised at people knocking Martinez for 1) Slating the formation and 2) Him putting Baines in midfield for the 2nd half... The formation may not have worked but at least he's trying things and Baines has looked really good in midfield. He's got the ability for the through balls that Lukaku thrives from, like the ball he put over the top that Lukaku headed over. Would like to see a midfield three of Baines, McCarthy and Barkley.
