LVG he is an arrogant mad man ... But he is a winner a serial winner and when was the last time we had one of them, did he not win a trophy in his last game for United and was branded a failure. I'm in I don't mind that sort of failure, oh for a day out at wembley and actually coming home with silverware..

Yeah and that 1995 Ajax side he built, was the greatest club side that i have seen in my lifetime.

Why do people think Van Gaal is referring to Everton and not the Arsenal job if he's actually coming back to manage in England? I get that Brands is a loose connection, but Arsenal makes a lot more sense to me with Louis.
No way Arse will replace one OAP with another, I'd say us or Chelsea as they don't mind an old fart as a short term appointment but I'm leaning towards us tbh.

Simone would be ideal and I’m aware it’s pretty much impossible. The work rate of his athleti teams is insane down a man against arsenal and you can barely tell

Emery is easily the best available option. He won EL three years on the spin with Seville. Got Valencia back into La Liga top four consistently after picking up another catastrophic Koeman mess. All playing attractive football with a clear style and philosophy.

It'll be Fonesca nailed on - not proven enough for a top club but a "sexy" enough name for us and being flavour of the month he'll be the one Moshiri will go for like he did with silva.

I've said it before that I'll be happy with the appointment but I dont think he's as good as what we could get imo - I feel to really establish ourselves as a top 7 club we need to go out and get an Emery/Blanc/Mancini type appointment who will catapult us in the media spotlight.

I just really hope we make a massive push for Emery as I think he would really push us on a level.

Fonesca is a risk in that he's totally unproven in a competitive league.

There are so many more interesting and/or proven names than Silva.

Don’t get me wrong, I’ve calmed down to the idea of him as manager but it’d be unambitious an underwhelming.
