Vieira was one of my favourite ever players, but we're not a premier league team who needs to take a risk like that, at have enough money to let a smaller team like Newcastle take a punt and then we take him.

Vieira would just be a punt really, based on nothing much.

It might have some traction though, with Moshiri’s Arsenal past.

I could only see it as a possibility if Arteta came as his assistant, but I assume he will be looking for a managers job himself as well if he is to leave City.

I'd be very surprised if the Everton Board were not considering at least one of the following candidates :
Vitor Pareira
Paul Lambert
Malky MacKay

I advocated for Silva as taking a risk, but he at least had some decent track record behind him.

Viera would be a total shot in the dark and a big big risk. He has lost two of his last three games 3-0 and 4-0.

Would I still take him over BS?

In a heartbeat......

I'd take crabs over BS. Not much of an endorsement like

Vieira would definately be a punt but I would suggest it would be an educated punt. He was an intelligent footballer and he was highly regarded as he progressed as a coach at Man.City which was why he was given his chance at NYC. I think he has been there 2 seasons and has done well and taken them to the top end of the table.
It's probably a baseless rumour anyway.
Besides, Allardyce has at least another year to run yet.
