I Hate Phil Neville

I think West Brom will be his destination, Pepe Mel has gone and that's a good fit for him, not too much expectation to win anything, right up Moyes street.

I always thought that Moyes was destined for United but that he'd do it once he'd won a couple of trophies. I can't see him being too long out of the game because he's a workaholic but he might decide that it's the right time to manage in another country, out of the spotlight. Celtic could be one obvious destination, if Lennon leaves.

Saudi or China?

Why do you hate professional, humble and hard working people?
Hate's not the right term, but usually when you ask what a players top strength's are and the words hard working or professional come back, they are usually grim at football, it's indicative of the cultural problems we have as a nation in our footballing system, and why we are so far behind others that we value these things over technical ability. I guarentee in no other footballing power nation would phil neville have winners medals and 50 international caps, I doubt he'd even be in the top division, only here do we put such value on these attributes that should just be considered common place. It's something I genuinely believe is an issue in english football at all levels, and also down to personal preferences, the first thing I look for in a player is technique, I hate terms like 'he's a defender first' for me he's a footballer first. We hate pyshical cowardice in a player but have no problem with players that are terrified of having the ball at their feet. We are talking about a player who gained more caps than Glenn Hoddle FFS, it's insane

Thing is mate, other countries see the hard working attitude of British players as a positive thing that they wish they saw more in their own players

No one way is better than the other. For every hard working player who isn't that technically gifted that makes it, there are technically great players who don't because they are lazy or go out on the razz when they should be getting a good nights sleep and showing up to training on time.

You should put the hours in, you should be dedicated, you should be humble and always willing to learn. These ARE positive qualities and they should be rewarded. If you're technically great but not bothered to put the work in, you deserve to be passed over

Do the results back this up though, as a country are we willing to overlook our lack of focus on technical abilities not just in our players but in our coaching systems?

Of course I agree even the most gifted players focus has to be there, but in the right method, like when barton was asked on the differences between ronaldo and rooney, Barkley is a far more talented player than gerrard, but will have to apply tremendous amounts of focus and drive to be a better player than him. As a country I feel our priorities are not focused on the right areas.
