If Martinez went.....

Please. So the takeover interest is due to Bobby Martinez' crazy brand of football, and has absolutely nothing to do with the huge TV deals, Kenwright's health status, and the massive increase in share value that can currently be realised by the major sharholders?

When you see those sort of posts you realise how some of the absurd nonsense on here has flourished to the point it's actually been accepted as mainstream truth. 'Martinez is the reason we're getting taken over'...dear me.

Moyes - and I am deadly serious.

Give him this squad with a genuine world class striker (which he never had) and we would be top 4 comfortably, this season I'd go as far to say we could be top.

New Year. Same old Moyes shouts.

Seriously guys..... Do you have no ambition whatsoever? Why would you want a man who ridiculed the club who helped him make his name. He used everton to get united job. But fact of the matter is that without everton, the man is a nobody who would be languishing in lower leagues.

And no we absolutely would not be ''comfortably top 4'' with moyes. 11 years. Zero trophies.

Yearning for the return of Moyes deserves a suitable punishment.

I'd suggest making the culprit sit through an hour long compilation of the glory days featuring games such as the 4-0 hawthorns loss, 4 nil loss at home to bolton, shipping 5 in bucharest, 7-0 at highbury, 4-1 loss at goodison to wba, 0-3 fa cup to wigan, the wonderful cup ties against oldham and shrewsbury, all finished off with the rest half the team at anfield and let stevie gbh score a hatrick derby.

You might feel this is harsh but I see it more as an act of tough love to bring some back to planet earth lol

Its usually just the young ones with that shout, like they have a case of Stockholm syndrome. Dont think anyone sensible would take that beut back ang go back to being plucky little club. Would be like taking your bird back after she left for another bloke thinking she was too good for you only for him to bin her off after realizing shes not all that and her expecting to just waltz back in, koff

Every Everton fan has his own Moyes demon in the closet...some want to chase him out and some want to cherish him...

Hmm... well he had years to attract a world class striker, or even a potential world class striker, and couldn't. Martinez on the other hand brought one to the club in his very first window.

Where is all the Moyes talk coming from???

It's as ludicrous as suggesting the clubs potential sale is down to Martinez.

Crazy talk....

We want better and can get better than both.

No idea why people are so black and white over Moyes and Martinez. It's abundantly clear that Martinez could benefit from some of the routines and drills that Moyes used to use, just as it's clear that Moyes would have benefited from some of the ideas and freedom that Martinez likes.

Both would appear too stubborn to learn though.

I would have Moyes back at Goodison in a heartbeat. I think he's learned a lot from managing United and Real Sociedad, even though it didn't work out for him at those clubs. Our defence is clearly the weakest part of the team right now - Moyes would sort that out quickly I think. Also we wouldn't need to pay any compensation for him. I would give Martinez a bit more time though. Wait until the end of season and reevaluate then maybe?
