If Rooney was 19 again

He/They are only interested in one thing ... Cold Dirty Cash !! and will allow their agents to prostitute them to the highest fat Arab, Yank, Russian etc etc. Rooney is a classic example... Boyhood club blah, blah, blah.

I think what stings the most is he didn't believe the club could get anywhere near to where he wanted to be and his talent demanded he should do better. If he believed the club could close the gap, maybe he would have stayed but at the time under Bill we were going nowhere.

Even though he's England and Utd's top scorer ever I still don't think he ever properly fulfilled his potential. If he'd have gone to Real Madrid in 08 he would have gone down as one of the greats.

Actually I didn't factor in sunburn.

....he’s won virtually everything that he could win at club level. When there was talk of the marriage failing & the 50/50 household split, a number of mischevious folk said Coleen would have more winners medals than Stephen Gerrard.

Nowhere near IMO. It's always an odd claim to make because of what he achieved, but I think he was as good at 17 as he was at 27.

But that said, a lot of it is mentality; he could have went Madrid and went proper Barkley. All we can say for sure is he had a fantastic career, world class for most of it but never once held a candle to Ronaldo/Messi, and there's no shame in that. Like you though I feel there's a chance he could have.
