Is everyone over reacting?

How dare we ever beleive we are different or ambitious....or even proud of our history and traditions.

These appointments spit all over that.

But it's pointless referring to our historic traditions or past.

It's the present we must focus on. Our form is the absolute worst in league. The players look completely lost & void of any plan or direction. THAT IS RELEGATION form.

We simply must act now to remedy that. Being 'proud' of our traditions doesn't keep us in the league. I'm ambitious too, and would love to be pushing for a top 4 finish as most of us thought would be the case in the summer.

But that's not REALITY. Reality is that unless we stop getting rolled over & conceding 3/4 goals per game we are going down.

Whoever we appointed was a massive gamble, I think thats the thing I am trying to get people to understand when am saying that the option wasn't just Sam.

Pep would be a gamble, anyone right now would. All know is we do not have the squad to play his style, and I am willing to bet that come January the atmosphere will be a lot more toxic then it is right now.

I am just looking at the bigger picture and seeing what the ripples 3 years down the line will be when he will be gone, and he will be one way or another.

This was what he said 6 months ago...

""This is the right time for me, I know that in my heart. I have no ambitions to take another job, I simply want to be able to enjoy all the things you cannot really enjoy with the 24/7 demands of managing any football club, let alone one in the Premier League."

£6.5m a year offer and he has well and truly bent us over.

Oh we also have to pay £2m to Palace....
It should never of come to this. The board is where we need to be directing our anger. They are the ones whom are ultimately responsible for this mess

If they are saying they are finished with Everton then they kind of are not....I mean that's the whole point of what they are saying.
No mate, it’s a protest against the board and useless manager they are about to employ! He’s going to be one of the highest paid managers in world football!!!!!!!!!!! When he’s gone I will go the game again.

There is "better" then Allardyce. The world outside the hyperbole of the premier league is full of talented managers, just the fact the club are shithouses and refuse to do anything different.

What was it Einstein said about insanity??

We can never expect to improve by only hiring managers who have experience on these shores.

I actually agree with you to a certain extent. Look I'm hurting too & also frustrated.

BUT I'll be hurting even more if the unthinkable happens. And for me the risk is just too high to employ a foreign manager who has to inherit this mess.

I'd say there's more chance of relegation hiring a manager with no premier league experience then there is hiring a manager who has specialised in that area

Whose to Say BFS doesn't see this as an opportunity to manage a big club rather than a survival mission
He said a couple of weeks ago that hes not interested in being fireman sam anymore!

Lets hope he sees this as a real opportunity to do something here

I think it's very similar to when redknapp was at spurs, someone who hadn't manged big clubs prior to that - took them over when they were in the relegation places and turned them around (here's hoping!!)

We are a big club at the moment just run by amateurs, we need someone to cut the BS and get back to a style of playing/winning

This exactly.
Say we had a list of 10 and Sam was 10 then we have been through all the other 9 and Sam was the first to say yes.
What's the problem here. We need a manager and he is the best who would come.
People should be moaning at the ones who turned us down for not having the balls for a fight.

He didn't say Yes tho... he turned us down because we offered him 6 months and he wanted a 3 year deal.

We have been bent over royally because the board don't have the balls to be bold and try something different.

Is it ok him being the 10th best paid manager in the world? for what? what has he achieved besides taking our pants down to deserve anything close to this.

Oh no, dont get me wrong I am devastated that Sam, and the goblin, will be anywhere close to our club.

But the Board are the ones here who have had no fore site, no plan or any direction and allowed this to happen.

it is an embarrassment they have done this.

Do you not think your hiring a manager who’s record and ability keeps in and around the unthinkable?? For me your signing into a relegation battle

But we're not different, we are a football club like every other one, some think we're different but we're not and never have been.
We're certainly not very ambitious as the last 20 years will tell you.

I really don't want Sam.

But the state we're in playing wise, and the state that the board and Moshiri and Bill and Walsh have allowed this managerial situation to get to, calls for desperate measures.

It shouldn't have happened, but it's now going to - and it's probably needed as well.

Sad but true.

Mate, we are already in a relegation battle.

We're as bad as Sunderland were when Sam took over and as bad as Palace were.

Can we all please realise this???
