Is everyone over reacting?

I actually agree with you to a certain extent. Look I'm hurting too & also frustrated.

BUT I'll be hurting even more if the unthinkable happens. And for me the risk is just too high to employ a foreign manager who has to inherit this mess.

I'd say there's more chance of relegation hiring a manager with no premier league experience then there is hiring a manager who has specialised in that area

I think there is like equal risk for me mate - I dont think anyone we hire right now is anything but a gamble.

Sam, because 1) I really dislike him, but 2) I dont think we have the squad capable of playing his way. I genuinely think he is a massive risk based on his record and what he statistically does at everyone of his clubs. He is a guarantee of nothing - it might have worked at others, why will it work at us.

Someone from abroad, they might not get the league, they might want different players.

The issue is the board should have been doing what they employed Walsh for - getting a template together for the club what we want to be, play like and who fits that template. then its easier to hire against and no-one can complain.

Its the fact its been so embarrassingly scattergun that its a joke.

But we're not different, we are a football club like every other one, some think we're different but we're not and never have been.
We're certainly not very ambitious as the last 20 years will tell you.

I suggest YOU dont get us either than.

I don't think so, this is the lowest I've personally felt about Everton. The Sammy Lee news on top of everything else is like someone kicking you right in the bollocks, and then when you're on the deck - water streaming from your eyes as you gasp for breath - the person who kicked you turns around, drops their pants, and does the most hideous fart right into your face.
And you can do 'kall about it because your hands are tied behind your back.

Its like your worst nightmare except you dont wake up.

As long as i have been on here and twitter , i have never seen Everton fans at eachother as much as this.

People actually hate Big Sam and i bet half of them dont know why. I dont waste my energy hating anyone - its just jumping on the band wagon Gang mentality for a lot ( not all). People are quoting that he is a crook - but we have been in underwritten by Phil Green for years.

Just the disabled and immobile people yeah?

He and his son got basically caught taking money for signing certain players a few years ago. The agent would charge a premium, Allardyce would sanction the buy and the clubs cookie jar wouldn't even know it was being dipped in to. The other thing when England manager was just the cherry on top of an already well established cake - the man is corrupt, end of story.
I stand corrected on that then but I am not aware of him being charged with fraud?

Mate, we are already in a relegation battle.

We're as bad as Sunderland were when Sam took over and as bad as Palace were.

Can we all please realise this???

If we win tonight and Saturday do you think if we’re sitting 9th 10th were in a relegation battle??

He didn't say Yes tho... he turned us down because we offered him 6 months and he wanted a 3 year deal.

We have been bent over royally because the board don't have the balls to be bold and try something different.

Is it ok him being the 10th best paid manager in the world? for what? what has he achieved besides taking our pants down to deserve anything close to this.
Fair enough but none of that is his fault.
I'll be interested too see what he can do with better players and a bigger kitty.
All this only won 30% of games have you seen some of the dross he's managed?
I didn't want him but I'm not going to lose any sleep over the appointment. Long gone are the days where I lived and breathed EFC. There are far more important things in life for me now and see it for what it is now, entertainment.

I wouldn't trust the board with feeding my cat on the basis that they're hiring Sam Allardyce FFS.

They could barely manage a worse appointment. When I say any half-competent manager would keep us up this season, I mean it - it's not difficult to bring someone in who isn't an actual proven crook, corrupt as the day is long and has a track record of leaving clubs in worse states than he arrived.
Fat Sam would eat your cat Tubey. And then have the catfood as dessert.

Do you not think your hiring a manager who’s record and ability keeps in and around the unthinkable?? For me your signing into a relegation battle

But we are already on a relegation battle! That's the point. Have you seen our results & performances this season?

Better players... I seriously doubt right now if what he has at his disposal classifies as better players, and even if they are, they are not set up for the way he wants to play.

He is a gatekeeper - he only has a 30% win percentage because he will never get close to a big job.

Its more a horror show then entertainment right now.

So only 1 footballer manager on the planet that can help ??

No not at all. I'll say it for the 200th time, Allardyce wouldn't be my first choice BUT nobody else 'better' wants the job, otherwise we wouldn't still be searching for a manager 6 weeks after sacking Koemsn.

And for that reason I'm willing to get behind him because that's what we need to do

If we win tonight and Saturday do you think if we’re sitting 9th 10th were in a relegation battle??

Yes because we'll still only be five points clear more than likely even in that scenario.

And based on what has come before - you know, our recent 4-1 drubbing at a side that couldn't score for toffee (pardon the pun) and our three wins in 13 league games - that two successive wins are likely?

You'd like to think it's doable, but I have zero faith in this squad.

TBF I think everybody from 7th down should be worried to some extent mate. Two wins isnt going to sort it for us. Still no reason to gp for Allardyce like but we do need to do something.

Dyche is better imo and would have jumped at the chance to manage us...

IF we'd have gone for him 5 weeks ago like we should have.

Now, it's not worth him taking a gamble on us.
