Is Sam that bad?

Allardyce hasn't got a cat in hell's chamce at everton, as id say over 90% of the fanbase actually despise the fella.

What makes me laugh is the clamour for a new manager to get us "attacking" and "playing football" - no doubt from the same people who slaughtered martinez and hounded him out the door.

That's a corruption of why people hated Martinez at the end. He had no indication he was even slightly interested in defending and, as such, we were shambolic at the ball. And his "attacking" ethos was a bunch of passing with the ball and no end product and, again, no indication he was even slightly interested in changing that.

no actual links unlike Hodgson going for him in the last window then
As I said, I can't be sure. I posted an example of an article but there are many others that say the same thing. There is also a picture of allardyce at a Besiktas game in October (with Steve Walsh, interestingly). Was he there watching Tosun or was he on a jolly with his mate, dunno. Is it your stated position that the Tosun signing is nothing to do with Allardyce? If so, I assume you can provide superior evidence to my suggestion that he is an Allardyce signing.

Absolutely. Martinez wasn't slaughtered for being attacking, he was slaughtered because of ineffective sideways football and disastrous defending. Plus a purple patch of 2 wins in about 16 games.
We did well in his first season then he let Distin go and the defence just seemed to fall apart from then on.

It’s bonkers that we can come out of yesterday feeling negative.

3-1 win at home against palace and still our fan base are disgruntled.

He was brought in to keep us in the premier league and at the moment he is doing his job.

After the Southampton match we were all wetting our kecks thinking we were going down.

Now we look like we are going to be safe, the majority of our fan base are starting to find their confidence and clamouring for an exciting name.

Let’s give credit where credit is due and not turn into geordies.

The most frustrating about Sam is he makes needless changes every single game. Yesterday’s team was similiar to the team we played at Leicester but he left the best players out in the game in between at Arsenal.
I fully expect us to have at least 2 different defenders in our next game, he will probably go back to Bolasie And Schneiderlin starting.
Walcott’s come in and we look more dangerous and I’d like the same team barring injuries to have a run together but it just won’t happen.

Hear me out

8 games played against sides outside the top 6, Won 5, 2 draws and 1 loss

So basically we have picked up 17 points out of 24 out of games we would expect to win, whichever way you spin that it's a very good return

Now obviously we've been shocking against the top 6 sides but this is nothing new and goes back years

Does he deserve a second season?
Is he that bad - Yes
Does he deserve a second season - No

I don't think any of the summer signings are his

I thought it was well known, well, as well known as these things ever get, that he wanted to sign him when he was at Palace.
