Is there a level of corruption in the league right now?

The answer is yes. All you need to know is the amount of positive drug tests (none), the amount of betting cheats collared (negligible despite being widespread and an open secret), the fact referees aren't open to scrutiny or even sanction for mistakes, the introduction of VAR, the fixing of matches and even tournaments at the highest levels of football etc. etc. etc.

It's a cesspool. Dominated by money, hidden in plain sight.

I don't think there is corruption. Unconscious bias, definitely, but not corruption.
But my question is how do these professional best of the best refs get it wrong nearly every week benefiting the same few teams consistently, there must be some level of corruption.

Man Utd tend to get a lot of penalties because they try and run hard with numbers into the box, not something we do that often I'm afraid...

The big teams get a lot more decisions other teams wouldn't, That's what I would say is happening and has been for about 10 years probably even more.

Those lot won a title, got a documentary about it, Leicester story was x100 more worth of a documentary didn't see Sky commission one then.

Say we win the league next season in all honesty it will be our 10th and after 35 years of basic football nothingness will we be afforded the same privilege?

It sums up who they value and what makes the brand more successful therefore I have never had any doubts.

I mean, i'd argue that there are more Liverpool fans in UK & Ireland than any other (maybe United at a push), so Sky were always going to make a big scene of it because they'll get more subs from Liverpool fans than Leicester fans.

If we win the league, we'll probably get a sneaky 5 mins before 2 hour spread about how every other "big 6" had a freak season.

we are talking corruption here, ie payments for services rendered. You think that goes on, and that its bent? if so, why bother watching it.
Everton finished 4th and got in the CL then the RS won it so it was 5 English teams.
Your telling me the draw and matches where not corrupt?

Corruption is definitely in the game, agents are dodgy as can be.
VAR main problem is consistency. You have 3 players in 3 different games dive in 2 footed, same tackle basically. One gets a Red, one a yellow the other gets nothing. This is the problem with VAR, then you got to add in which team he plays for.
Take the Fulham VS RS pen claim that was turned away. Any other team in the league and that’s given as a pen, but because it the RS player it’s not a pen. Switch it around and it’s a pen and probably a red card for dangerous play

Spurs got in a few years after us with a similarly low coefficient and ended up drawing Swiss team young boys. We ended up with Villarreal. Utterly ridiculous draw that then saw some horrendous refereeing. In the same year Liverpool drew TNS after the owner of TNS had come out and said they’d quite like to draw Liverpool.

The reffing in the 2nd leg was definitely corruption

This is just after the Man Utd 9-0 Southampton game and again Manchester United get away with a few decisions, one handball, another offside, that was clearly not, and a penalty, also clearly not but it’s looking so repetitive for united, every other game they get decisions against them, if feels like they are paying the officials, it feels corrupt, what are your thoughts?
It was scripted last year - why wouldn't it be scripted this year? Some other clubs turn- so long as it stays one of the sky 5

This is true but look at all the penalties they have been awarded and then look at all the ones we have been denied and awarded against us and you'll see something definitely doesn't sit right.

It's long been said you wouldn't get this or that if you weren't in front of the Kop/Stretford end, ref's have been doing it for years. Perhaps it's a coping mechanism, bigger club, more fans, more probability of a nutter that will post excrement through their letterbox or worse.
