Is there a level of corruption in the league right now?

Sky Billions keeping the Prem afloat.

Sky ideally want's a Super Prem League of RS, Manure, Citteh, Chelski, and Spurs.

Ideal breeding ground for dodgy business practices.

i believe that anything that's subjective will always be swayed by the inherent bias of the decision maker and that all decision makers (in fact all people) are biased by their experiences. In football the clear and obvious law covers the reffs for any subjective decisions, so that's about 90% of decisions that are open to the interpretation of one man, that's billions of pounds and thousands of jobs at stake. Therefore its only human nature to favour the decision that causes the least amount of turmoil, its why we are always on the rough side of decisions, we're viewed as too good to go down and not good enough to win anything the decisions we get are in keeping with this widely held view of us, this view of us is a preconception that effects decisions and can also be called bias.

Now fans aren't in the grounds you've found that teams are going to the big grounds and winning or at least giving it go, so that's stopped crowd influence on refs. If you remember when we were challenging the RS for Europe in 2007/2008, we got awful decisions, most notably Clattenburg and the disallowed goal at Blackburn. It was found were would of finished 4th if decisions had gone our way. Look at all the bad decisions in derbies over the years we've had against us and compare our lock against them. VVD injury and Pickford not getting a red card was simply a fluke related to the rules. The only decision I can think of going in our favour was Barry not getting a red when on a booking.

Of course there is corruption in the premier league it's blatantly obvious it was found that on average when Man United were losing or drawing at OT they got 1:30 minutes added on extra in stoppage time. When they were winning they got less stoppage time added on. Because Liverpool and United have the largest number of armchair supporters and most of the money in the premier league comes from Sky, then it's obvious that there's going to be an incentive to make sure they do well. Also you have all the Super Sundays and Derby Day's when the fixtures are supposed to be drawn randomly.

I see the new CL qualification rules from 2024 are up for discussion tomorrow (see the Atlantic).
Upshot seems to be more of pulling up the ladder after them.
Qualification to be expanded to 6 teams in EPL but you don’t need to finish top 6, based off your European co-efficient which obviously is based off the last set number of years in Europe.
In theory were we (with no recent experience and a low co-efficient) to finish 4th and Arsenal and Chelsea finish 7th and 8th, they qualify and we do not.
How about that?

Started with Blatter and rifled its way down the ladder, FIFA and UEFA are corrupt as hell, not sure refs are taking dodgy brown envelopes though.

Regards VAR. For me they have to invest totally or not at all.
Rules are non existent. When should it go to VAR or not? Nobody knows. Hence people start thinking it's rigged or dubious. Understandably.
It should be refs word is final unless they're unsure. If unsure, go to screen. If still unsure go to VAR. And / or like Tennis every team has 3 challenges during a game on a refs decision. They then invoke VAR. But this, we check when we fancy, brings too many question marks. The integrity included.
Apart from that it's unfair on us. The fans. i loved, the spontaneity of a goal. Gone.
