Even less of a legend than Ferguson, who isn't a legend.
…not as a player, he did entirely the right thing for himself and his career when he left but I’ve never doubted his allegiance to the club as a supporter. I like the lad, loved watching him play he was probably the last of the English street footballers.

I remember watching him as a kid play one game in particular , I think Bolton at goodison , and it was as good a performance I’ve ever seen from any Everton player of any player actually at goodison . I thought we had a generational talent and I suppose we did but first chance he got he was off down the 62 .
I don’t hate him , I feel privileged to have seen him come through and to dream of what he was going to do for but he , perfectly reasonably , chose glory at united . Fair enough but that choice makes you a united not an Everton one .

Fair point, although I think some players can be considered a legend by everyone, such as Neville Southall and Kevin Ratcliffe.

If it is obvious. then why is this debate even here? And if we have to have it, why is Spit the Carra mentioned?
There's something mythological about Duncan Ferguson. There even was when he was playing for us - especially so when he was injured and we couldn't wait for him to be back.
Which is in itself enough to make him a legend as far as I'm concerned.

The closest thing we've got to a legend in 20 years is Ferguson & Cahill. For what its worth, I love Dunc, but he's not a Legend.
