Hes a manc legend. Did nothing for Everton other can conning the club out of a fat salary when he was way passed it and kiss the manc badge after scoring against us. He can take his pandering ‘my kids sleep in everton pjs’ and shove it up his rear.

Definitely not.

I often find his lack of enthusiasm for the club bizarre, although that could be a personality thing.

I always think he talks more fondly of Man United which I just can't get my head round, regardless of what he achieved there.

He is a legendary footballer who once played for Everton.
An Everton legend no.
Samuel Eto'o and James Rodriguez for instance are both football legends - BUT, the fact that Rooney came through our acadamy will ensure that his 'story' will be forever linked with the club. Most football supporters around the world would know that he broke through here. Very few would even mention Everton when talking about Rodriguez or Eto'o.

He forfeited that when he left to go to Man Utd and became a ledge for them. He's an iconic player for us in his first stint.

We've few legends in the modern era, post mid-80's. I'd say Big Dunc but then people will shoot that down as he didn't score that many.

That's the one.

I'd say

Arteta, Cahill, Campbell, Coleman, Ferguson, Jagielka, Pickford

Are probably the only ones (i can think of) who fit that category for me
Likes of Pienaar, Richarlison, Gravesen,
Martyn, Distin

In the level below.

Everyone opinion is subjective. I just dont see anyone being fit to join Southall, Ball, Dean from the past 30 years.
