He's a very decent player.

Don't understand why people are saying we should swerve him.
I dont think we should swerve him, but I also dont think we should rely on him as the starter there. I think if he was available for the right price he would be a good 3rd option when the starters are unavailable, or need to be spelled. Along those same lines I think that if we want to push on we need someone better long term with too many missed opportunities going through him.

Can we do better? Yes.
Will we do better? Who knows.

Ive seen very little from our scouting team to suggest we can improve on him.

As you say, its about the price.

His back up is Danjuma and Dobbin, neither look very good, currently.

I think hes a decent player, very up and down, but thats what you get at our level.

Same here. Seemed a lot more direct at Leeds, rarely see him beat his man since joining.

Just wondering if the injury he has is more serious than thought - certainly suspicious given Villa pulled the plug based on that.

Leeds were also one of the most open teams in the division under Bielsa and pretty wide open under Marsch as well.

The instructions he’ll be getting are completely different. Dyche is probably telling him to work up and down for 95 mins, press the opponent, squeeze in midfield when needed blocking passing lanes etc. It’s probably all about hitting positions when it comes to attacking and getting end product of a cross or entry into penalty area etc.

Bielsa and Marsch might have had completely different instructions, stay up top by the full back so you can take him on one on one or press him when he has the ball. The attack may have been more individual orientated and players might have had completely different starting points.

Who knows ultimately but I don’t think he’s a worse player now than before, I think we just play a completely different way to how Leeds did.

If he had a 25 year old Coleman at RB to support and cover him (and vice versa) I reckon we'd see a different player. This area is where Dyche is worrying me most atm.

He's alright, not as bad as some on here say, not as good as others say either. He's a very good deal for us on his current terms (Leeds DoF was an absolute mentalist with those loan clauses).

It's a moot point anyway because, unless someone's going out for mega-money in the summer, we won't have the dosh to sign him anyway. I very much doubt Leeds are going to be open to a Beto style deal on the never-never. If we do have some cash, anything over £15m seems dear to me, even in this inflated market.

I see no reason whatsoever that Onana and Branners will be here beyond September.

He was mostly on the left side for Leeds and was one of the primary pressers further up the pitch. He naturally played closer to the goal.

Here the forward pressure is primarily from the striker and the CAM. He’s starting further back.

The guy scored 21 goals in the past 3 seasons. He didn’t forget where the goal is. He’s still contributing with goals and assists and a good rate so far though.

I said before we signed him there is no way he will have the productivity that he had at Leeds when he joins us. Personally from what I've seen I think iwobi is a better player and it's not just recency bias. Iwobi has 4 goals in 13 games for Fulham. Harrison has 1 in 10.

I'm sure if someone like demarai gray was at Leeds he would have racked up 2-3 times the amount of goals he had at everton.

Personally I'm unconvinced by Harrison, I think he's a downgrade on iwobi but I do think he has the workrate of iwobi but not as quick and not as good technically.

It's the amount of times he just puts a cross out for a goal kick or just generally loses possession. He's just bang average really and if we aspire to be better than relegation candidates then he's not good enough

4 goals in 13 you say? That looks a decent stat, until you see his 6 goals in 123 games for Everton.

You can't compare Iwobi at Fulham, it's a completely different system.
But let's me honest you can compare them. A lot of people said let's sign Harrison look at his numbers. And those same people saying look how iwobi has scored so few goals.

Despite Leeds playing the most attacking football in the league. And now your saying we can't compare because of the system. I said at the time gray and iwobis number would increase massively if at Leeds.

I wouldn't be surprised if Harrison had the same ratio of goals as iwobi had here because of how we play.

Zero chance Demarai Gray would survive under Bielsa or Marsch.
