Send him packing. I am an Everton fan too, can I go and hang around Finch Farm too? Everton need to stop being a bunch of soft arses.
Rodwell did nothing for us apart from be a player with a lot of potential who left us at the first opportunity to line his pockets. Do one, your real level is Sunderland, and even they wouldn't have you back.

Yes, because thats what every Evertonian wants.

EDIT : and no they didn’t have the best facilities....they trained at carrington then, the place they gave to Bury FC.

He basically moved to a much better company at the time, and is now most likely sorted for life.

Thats your opinion mate, and thats cool.

But what happened to him is not opinion, and was terrible from our side. It broke him, we hung him out to dry and the result of that is what happened the rest of his career.

I do care about what we do to and how we treat our own players we prouce, maybe thats what makes us different.

The trouble with your recent posts on this subject is that they smell strongly of an Anti Kenwright agenda and nothing more. City paid a small,to them, fee for Jack ,and increased his wages dramatically, but he had injuries and didn't take his playing opportunities when they arose. It is Jack who has been all about the money. His attitude at Sunderland would be proof of this. I don't see any reason why we should help him now, he is not exactly down to his last few pounds. If he has a mental problem, refer him to the right specialist, but that is all. You castigate Bill Kenwright, but it is Bill who is at the forefront of the clubs caring attitude to former players who have problems. I hope this part of Everton does not become a thing of the past when Bill goes.

Point is, it was his boyhood club, the club he loved that broke his heart and thats the point that he lost interest in the game. After that, he was never going to do anything.

City did loads for him, mental stuff. He was just not interested.

Yes maybe it shows he was weak, and soft. But how would we all be if the club you had adored since aged 5 binned you off without a care, these things hurt and mould you for better of worse for rest of your career/life.

Some people act like nothing bothers them on here, and money should stop people getting mentally hurt.
See I was sat there for a minute thinking I'd been harsh before, that maybe you were saying the lad had been suffering with mental health issues and we'd binned him off. If that was the case, I'd sympathise. What you're actually saying though, is that us selling him upset him, and stopped him from ever being good at football again.

As well as missing the point I made earlier, that he hadn't exactly been pulling up any trees before he left - hence us only getting £12m when he'd been talked about as a £25m+ player a couple of years before - this is just part of the life of a footballer. I'm not saying that it didn't cause him some distress, or that money makes everything better, or anything remotely like that. It comes back to my original point though, we're not a charity. At some point we'd have had to sit him down and say look mate, we're not going to carry on paying you £30k a week or whatever just because you're an Everton fan.

If he was really disappointed then I feel for him, I honestly do, but we do not owe him anything just because he couldn't keep his dream job. It's happened to most of us at some point, and I don't feel like previous employers owe me for making me redundant or not giving me a promotion etc.

I will only strongly talk about stuff when I know some facts.

Im not a massive fan of Bill, but he has done some good stuff. So each will be spoken about on its own merit.

I knew this would happen andit would be laughed off, as people are so blinkered that they will only see what they want.

In most cases the player is gready and a "rat", but this move was different, and thats only down to me knowing what happened. Why would I make this up, not like ive been given a pat on the back, or some ITK cred. Im not happy with any negative stuff coming out, but it does happen.

If I did not get this info, then I would probably go down the...."he wanted out and first chance for loads of money....screw him the rat" attitude that fans instantly take.

What do you taste as you kiss Bill's arse?

Thats a good post, and I agree with most of it.

Looking back at my posts, I think I may have quoted you by mistake.

Its a harsh business yes. But I get why we are helping him out. Bill (I think) mentioned after care for ex pro's when we took Baxter back, and I agree with that kind of support network.

For me its too harsh and easy to just cast them aside and wash our hands of them. In a sense, pro clubs take the childhood away from kids, and when they don't adapt to life and struggle with some aspects, we should help support them get some help, and even help if we can.

The charity part, well we kind of are a chaity or atleast a cummunity driven club.

No doubt you or some will either not believe or twist it in some way. But he did not want to go....he begged the club to stay, was in tears. We sent a kid out because Bill seen that money, and it became about that.

The staff at city could not believe what he was like, every window he wanted back to us.

Fans expect loyalty and class from players but are ok to dissmiss this kind of stuff from the club.

If that were true, he would not have signed for city. Players have all the power in football, there are plenty of players through the years, who have had bids accepted and said "no thanks, i'm happy here", end of story. If the player doesn't sign the contract, it doesn't matter if the clubs have agreed a fee
