We tried to sign him in the summer so I don't think it's really an indicator of anything.

At c.£15m I don't think that's much of a 'gamble' personally. Quite comfortably goes straight into our starting XI.

I don't think he's quite what is needed in final third tbh. If people are expecting him to be getting up and down like Hudson-Odoi and Elanga were for Forest he is very unproven at prem level at doing that.
