He was a great prospect when he burst into the Villa first team squad and started to get games coming off the bench three seasons ago now. Emery wanted to keep him but he wanted more first team football so went off to Hull where he did well and we got him back. This season he has struggled though and funnily enough his only decent performance was against Bayern, so it shows he does have it in him. He just hasn't played well and seems to be lost in the system rather than suddenly becoming a poor player. Emery asks his wide players to do a specific job which doesn't always mean just take a player on (which he hasn't done much of). There's a player there without doubt but he just hasn't settled back into Villa well enough and with Bailey also struggling a change is needed.

The poor lad’s career is going to go well off the rails then if he comes here. If he can’t manage the system Emery asks him to play, how’s he going to manage in a Dyche system where the ball will be kicked over his head for 90 minutes?!
