Its absurd how people make stuff up, if they have a first-refusal clause then why were there multiple offers before theirs? What does a first-refusal even mean if you simply make a bid the same as others after other clubs have, and the player decides who he wants to go to? Nonsense words people use to make things sound the officialist(which is a nonsense word).

First refusal means just what it sounds like Hull have to inform Villa that they've agreed to sell him and Villa get the chance to buy him for the same price or refuse it its a standard clause nothing strange about it really.

Yeah, game time wise the picture hasn't improved all that much on paper but they'll be doing a lot of buttering up so maybe he'll believe the opportunities will be greater. He might find Champions League football plus a shot at proving people wrong a hard combination to resist.

At the same time he might not like the way things ended and might not want to go back, who knows.

Or it may come down to money, if they agreed terms on a possible buy back a year ago (I'm sceptical but it's been reported) those terms might not be particularly great, and Villa might not improve their offer if they're just seeing if they can get a cheap squad player. So we may be able to offer more.

Or he may be really into tractors. Anyone's guess what happens right now.
